MMMm, you look a bit like Delirium (from the Endless Vertigo comics) in your avatar, PW.
I love Delirium. I always wanted to get a tattoo of her, but it'd have to be a constantly changing tattoo..

Nuh-uh, but that's funny. The thing about the character Delirium is that even in the same comic, her appearance changes, because, she is, well, the embodiment of delirium, who once was Delight. And of course different artists interpret her different ways - that's the only time I've seen her depicted curvy, which is what I rather prefer. The second one kind of looks like my wife, too.
One of her eyes is blue, and the other is green. Her hair changes style and color constantly, as do her clothes. Her shadow never reflects her shape, and is tangible, like velvet. She is said to smell of sweat, late nights, sour wine, and old leather.

Going as myself for a little while ... well, myself 7 years ago .. before the stray silver strands in my beard had pushed out most of the red.
Pic is from a roadtrip. I'm kneeling in front of one of the many graves of Billy the Kid. Yes, it is encased in a cage.

I went with the dalek because we are all disembodied electronic entities here, however cute, so I figured at least one of us should have a disembodied electronic voice.
On the other hand, daleks are evil, in stark contrast to me. Plus my throat aches from talking this way. So I might change it.

Trying out some other folks renderings of "elfis"...
Whoa, Chris Wiggins and Ralph Bakshi worked on this cheap Canadian POS.
This cartoon angered me as a child because of the "Michael Sean the Leprechaun " episode which I felt depicted the Irish as dishonest, blustering cowards.

Apologies if my avatar has opened an old wound, norton. If it's any consolation, the cartoon also angered me. Because more than half the running time of each episode was padded with repetative musical vignettes. More story, fewer In times of trouble, times of woe...!
It was the same cheap Toronto production house that cranked out the classic first Spiderman cartoon. But Bakshi took that over, too, in the second and third seasons, and turned that to shit as well. He even re-used some of the Rocket Robin Hood animation cells.

Um... but this is exactly the image the typical boy watching the show would have, um, imagined. (Including the part where he's really a muscle-bound space pilot, trapped inside a Dalek.)
And in a (failed) attempt to throw off his Mr. Spock image...

Right. Posing naked with a dalek is hardly a sure-fire way of throwing off your Doctor Who image. But it is a sure-fire way of throwing off your clothes, which has rarely harmed any minor starlet's career.
In other news, Dick Cheney is attempting to throw off his image as a rich evil bastard by bathing in krugerrands while munching on a dolphinburger.
