Marky Mark's 9/11 mea culpa

A good way to reinforce a cover story of events would be to:
Book your patsies on a flight with a celebrity who can later tell the tale. Easy to do with surveillance tech, data-mining, etc.
It is so odd. Rob Lowe, Mark Wahlberg(was he suppose to be the action hero who died fighting bravely on Flight 93?), Family Guy creator Seth Mcfarlane, James Woods, the Frasier creator, regular Bill Mahr guest Barbara Olson, etc.
Mark Wahlberg apologizes for 'irresponsible' 9/11 comments
January 19, 2012 | 10:51 am

Mark Wahlberg has learned the hard way: Just leave 9/11 alone.

The star of the new movie "Contraband" found himself starring in a 9/11 controversy this week when he revealed that he had been scheduled to fly on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center -- and suggested that he could have single-handedly prevented the tragedy.

"If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn't have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'OK, we're going to land somewhere safely, don't worry.'"

The comments, made to Men's Journal in a cover story article, met with swift criticism. It seemed especially cruel considering that the passengers on another hijacked jetliner -- United Flight 93 -- did indeed rise up against the terrorists, sacrificing their own lives and crash-landing near Shanksville, Pa., rather than allow the plane to fly into a target in the nation's capital.

Now, Wahlberg is trying to leave those 9/11 magazine comments on the cutting room floor, telling TMZ, "I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention."

He added: "To suggest I would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible."

Many Americans likely tried to put themselves in that 9/11 scenario, imagining themselves getting the upper hand or taking revenge on the terrorists. But for Wahlberg to suggest that he could have somehow single-handedly stopped the hijacking, and then landed the plane safely in Manhattan (perhaps a la Captain Sully Sullenberger)? For many people, that was just too much.

And so Wahlberg become the latest celebrity to wade into treacherous 9/11 waters. Among them: Tony Bennett, Rosie O'Donnell and Jesse Ventura.

I wonder if in his fantasy there might be a few more Vietnamese people on that plane he could beat up without going to jail this time.

In my autobiography I will mention how I WAS on flight 11 and that I made a sex tape with Little Egypt and Claire Forlani.

.

The driving force behind such bold proclamations by these actors can be explained starting at the 2:44 mark in the below clip:

Every time I get on a plane there's a fairly good cross section of humanity there. On these flights we only have top execs, well-known Hollywood insiders, top military and top athletes, at least two Top Gunners and an Astronaut. How come there were so few 'regular' people on any of these planes?

People feel good when celebrities are put in their place. The media is especially proud of standing up for the victims of 9/11 by self righteously reporting the apology from Walhberg.

Yet when US media could have stood up for the victims in a substantive way they failed to do so. If anyone should apologize to 9/11 victims it should be the US media.

For example 60 Minutes replied to Soufan's allegation of CIA withholding of information about al-Hazmi and al-Mihdhar:
The CIA told us any suggestion it purposely refused to share critical information on the 9/11 plots with FBI is "baseless" and "these allegations diminish the hard work and dedication of countless CIA officers."

The Interrogator
A stupid CIA talking point refutes Soufan's credible allegation?

Go to cryptome [ http://cryptome.org/ ] and look for
0046.docx Cloak & Corkscrew: Where CIA Meets Hollywood January 19, 2012

It's an automatic downloading document when you lick on the link.

It will generate a two-page document written by Robert Eringer, dated 5 January 2011 (quite likely one of those beginning new year mindless date typos?), attributed to Publisher: Earthshine Editions, Santa Barbara, and in which the operative material reads as follows:

"... Perhaps CIA’s most unique domestic station is in Los Angeles. It is from their office in La-la Land that CIA officers cultivate and recruit Hollywood celebrities...."

Yeah and Marky Mark being a jailhouse educated racist violent fuck, he would probably be a perfect candidate.

His story is very strange and almost unbelievable.

In any mention of "Catch Me If You Can" in relation to real-life terrorism, we cannot forget to mention that the guy the character is based on worked for years in the same company (office? department? was friends with?) the Times Square bomber, originally reported to be a middle-aged white guy in a baseball hat, but who turned out to be a young westernized family man from Conneticut, who led Feds on a wild goose chase reminiscent in part to the story of "Catch Me If You Can."

BTW .. Annie Jacobsen deserves a place in this thread alongside Rob Lowe and James Woods ..

She claimed to witness terrorists perform a "dry run" bomb-making procedure onboard a flight:
