Re: Didn’t Jack Palance Already Die?
Joan Mondale died today. I could swear that Walter died a few years ago. My dad was the one who brought it up while he was watching the news. "Didn't Mondale die a couple years ago?" I was like, "Yeah like three years ago or so."
Look it up and, well, apparently he's still alive. I distinctly remember reports of his death at least within the last 900 days.
What is with the "Jack Palance Effect"?

For what it's worth, this phenomenon is more commonly known as the "Mandela Effect" - experiences like this are being compiled at this website: http://mandelaeffect.com/

Thanks BD for that link ... very interesting. I think it might be "safer" to assume these effects are tricks of memory and not actually evidence of "sliding" tween alternate realities but ... as a Dickhead, and I know 82_28 is as well, the sliders idea is interesting. Cheers and thanks!BrandonD » 04 Feb 2014 04:52 wrote:For what it's worth, this phenomenon is more commonly known as the "Mandela Effect" - experiences like this are being compiled at this website: http://mandelaeffect.com/

It would be safer yes, but at the same time the available (anecdotal) evidence does not support it.elfismiles » Fri Feb 07, 2014 9:23 am wrote: Thanks BD for that link ... very interesting. WTF?!?!?!
WTFFormer Hollywood child star Shirley Temple has died.
Curly-haired Temple had her first flim role at the age of three. During the Great Depression she was the country's top box office draw and is still the youngest person to receive an Academy Award.
In later life she carved out a successful career in politics, serving as US ambassador to both Ghana and Czechoslovakia.
WTF?!?!?!

There was some talk that PSH's death was hoaxed the week before he actually died:

Check this shit out. One of my cohorts (the dude that started this thread) brought this site to my attention today and also the linked photo, from Dazed and Confused. I don't jibe with all of their observations -- including Mandela because I kept up with his life.

However, what is that body of land on the globe west of OZ? I went one further and it is a full on mystery. What's with those "stock" classroom maps? I would sooooo love some higher resolution. The crescent on what appears to be the US and the legend is what I would love to be able to resolve. Florida is also misshapen.

Incredibly, Abe Vigods is still alive.
93 according to Wikipedia.

Btw the photo of Shirley Temple and J Edgar really creeped me out for some reason.

I really don't understand how Harper Lee, the My Bloody Valentine of the literary world, is now releasing her second novel. Not that I've ever imagined hearing about her death.
I have a pretty strong memory and have never succumbed to the Mandela Effect, though it is a very engrossing idea.

I got this one - it's a crest or emblem added by the map maker to provide a space to give the name of the manufacturer and other information. Often placed right in the middle of the Indian Ocean.82_28 » Fri May 23, 2014 2:50 am wrote:Check this shit out. Saw this on a David Icke forum thread. Another frame:

Check it out, it seems to resemble a real landmass on the ocean floor.
