"The president doesn't believe that Director Comey is intentionally trying to influence the outcome of an election," he said. "The president doesn't believe that he's secretly strategizing to benefit one candidate or one political party."
And though he would not weigh in on Comey's letter, Earnest said Obama maintains a high opinion of Comey and has confidence in his ability to do his job.
"Director Comey is a man of integrity, he's a man of principle, and he's a man of good character,"
All sarcasm aside, this is a smart political (as well as historically cognizant) stance on Obama's part. Pulling a Saturday Night Massacre one week before the election would basically give Trump the presidency on a silver platter. I'm not even sure if his wife had to talk him into "going high" on this particular. He's just allowing all relevant judicial machinery to "please proceed."
yea and maybe he knows about Trump's little server problem
sure whatever you say sounder..are you in love with Trump?
I have never in my life voted for a major party presidential candidate. It amounts to little more than a distraction from pressing issues and a chance for grifters to place their bets. Is anything different this time around?
And you think too highly of yourself if you think you just 'got me upset'.
people here have told me using capital letters means I am shouting ...sorry I misunderstood you
In the future I'll try and stay out of your Clinton thread anyway.....

I really cannot understand what you found laughable in the content of that interview. This appears to be the most blatant case of election fraud in our history, the collusion with a Republican House member and the head of the FBI to derail or attempt to derail a Presidential election, in clear violation of the Hatch Act.
In fact, Carville was right, (had his facts correct), in all he said.
Edited to correct date of Comey statement from the 5th to the 7th October.

Carville is just one of the ugly stinking denizens of the fetid swamp that needs to be drained, bulldozed, and disinfected. The Democratic Party. Ugh. How can anybody, ANYBODY, support these scummy disgusting people?
“So why are you so emotionally invested in playing into that blatant manipulation of YOUR emotions? You should resent that! And be deeply offended by that!”
All I can ask in turn is that he simply repeat his question into a mirror.
Supporters of each of the candidates are emotionally and ideologically invested in what they have been personally convinced of as the truth and the facts of their advocacy. Unfortunately, no one has that exclusive omnipotence. All we can do is call it as we see it. Projecting cruel judgment upon opposing views is mostly a futile attempt at persuasion, and it only makes the critic seem as hysterical as the hyperbole used in hammering home their argument.
From my biased perspective Clinton is the lesser of two evils because she has the practical experience of political office, the poise , perspective and personality to perform properly and pragmatically as a practicing president . Trump does not.
All the built-in checks and balances of the highest office won’t offset his idiocy.
I'm not trying to persuade you. Im seriously trying to understand how you think. Sorry but I don't get it.
And I'm not voting for any lesser of 2 evils, I'm voting for the Green Party, as anyone who hates hypocritical earth-destroying murdering corrupt goons should.
How can anyone vote for such a vile disgusting group of people??

Nordic, maybe because they're not as "vile and disgusting" as you seem to have been led to believe somehow?
And maybe because decades of having lived through and carefully observed historical events, from both a mainstream and multiple non-mainstream POVs - including having spent 7 years parsing through it all, five days a week, writing literally millions of words on these subjects as part of my "day job" - tells me that your read on the situation is far from accurate?

You think they're not that bad? Maybe you're more like them than you'd care to admit.
The analysis consists almost entirely of ridiculous exaggerations and purposeful negative mischaracterizations of what is actually pretty standard, frank, unfiltered, behind the scenes chatter... the kind of stuff that goes on in the communications of ANY AND ALL large organizations, whether political or not.
Let's look at one particularly egregious example from the site you link to:
***
6. Hillary's campaign wants "unaware" and "compliant" citizens
https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/3599
“And as I've mentioned, we've all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry. The unawareness remains strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking - and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging.”
Wikileaks "analysis": The Clinton campaign is literally conspiring to keep the population unaware of what is going on, and they admitted it in this email. Very scary ‘1984’ level thinking (group-think). If Hillary is the right choice for president and the truth is on her side, they should encourage their supporters to be aware and do research on both candidates.
***
I don't know if the individual putting together this list is not a native English speaker (and there are other indications that this might be the case), or if perhaps they are suffering from some sort of cognitive impairment, but if they really believe that excerpt is an example of shadowy elites conspiring to dumb down the population by design and NOT a rueful, sarcastic description of the sad state of the American educational system (thanks mostly to an onslaught of hardcore, coordinated, conservative anti-education activism at the state and local levels, by the way), then Godzilla help anyone who swallows their bullshit whole, because if you want to talk about dumbing down, there's a hell of a lot of it going on at that link you provided.
And I STILL haven't had anyone be able to tell me what it is, exactly, about this squalid partisan squabble over a byzantine
communications archiving process amounts to the greatest example of corruption since the Borgias stole the Papacy. But if you feel up to it, by all means... I'm all ears.

Really...well so is Obama part of the conspiracy? As the White House press secretary was just on tv earlier saying Obama absolutely does not think Comey acted to influence the election or
conspired with Republicans for a partisan attack.
And I don't recall the Clintons having any issue with the justice department going after Reagan and Bush's Casper the friendly Iran Contra Wineburger just days before the 1992 election.
"This appears to be the most blatant case of election fraud in our history"....certainly, that's how I feel about Hillary Clinton and the DNC cheating Bernie Sanders in the primaries. No wonder she is being
endorsed by Bush Inc

My #1 take away from 2016: Everything is the fault of a Russian conspiracy. There's never been corruption with the Clintons, DNC, etc. It's all the Ruskies!

Did you see IFC film channel's hilarious spoof of the 1992 doc the War Room with Carville?

if Clinton looses on December 14 the President of the United States rape trial will start ..before he is even sworn in...that would be something new and different
and on November 28 the President of the United States will be going on trial for fraud
Can you all say President Mike Pence?
I guess Trump is not really President till he's sworn in...who gets sworn in if Trump can't make it because he is on the stand testifying at his trial?

This "election" cycle has been the most entertaining event in, like, ever. Entertainment doesn't have to be fun of course.
What a sad fucking spectacle. Obviously inevitable. The proverbial slow-motion train wreck.

What are the odds Hillary has material that leaves her open to blackmail b/c of pedo networks (Epstein), not just her husband?

Oh, I see. This is the first vote you've ever cast, right, Nordic?
You are voting your choice, like everyone else.
By voting Green, you assure one of two in that vile group will be your next president.
Own the fact that your choice will assure the election of either a Democratic Party or a Republican Party candidate as well as the future makeup of the Supreme Court.
I am voting for Stein, regardless the fact I'm being sorta selfish by voting for her, because my vote will only be beneficial to growing the Green Party and will have no impact whatsoever upon the arena of world politics. Seedlings produce no fruit, but nurtured to maturity, their fruit will be bountiful.

By voting period, we ensure that one or the other mainstream plutocratic parties wins.
I'm a greener as well...they need to be established as a "viable" party in the political scheme we have here. Let's shoot for that magical 5%.
