Hell yeah. I've been stunned by the development over the last 20 years wherein no household seems to have soap anymore, just some gooey liquid that doesn't work as well and produces at least 10 times the non-biodegradable waste product in petroleum-based packaging (measured by mass). But anyway. Maybe it's better for some people's skin?

I just bought my stepdaughter a $15 bottle of "facewash". I resisted as best I could until she gave me That Look, the look for which I have no defenses, and succumbed as she knew I would. But really, as I attempted to argue, what's wrong with a goddamn bar of soap? WTF is "facewash?"

And hot water.

Sometimes I use Fairy Liquid.

If it gets the food stains off my pots and pans, I figure, it will do the same for my teeth.

Of course, whenever I talk, bubbles come out.

I realize how low on the list this must be. Grits. Not instant, not quick. Just old-fashioned grits that take about 15 to 20 min to cook. The quick grits are not tasty at all.

We have switched to Dr. Bronner's soap. If you go that way, you'll need to invest in foaming soap dispensers. Otherwise, you'll be disappointed.

That's funny you bring up Dr. Bronner's. It's all I use. But just last night, I decided to look up the history of Dr. Bronner's. Pretty fascinating story.

I've been a Bronner's junkie, jeez, since 75, could that be, I distinctly remember the lovely lady who introduced me, and yeah, 75. I use the bar version now, as it seems to last longer. The label is an education in itself.
And then there's the OP. not to be to depressing, but
bats, bees, frogs, large moths (Luna, Cecropia, etc.) alot fewer songbirds, wild Dogwood trees (dying from Anthracnose (spl?) places without human noise, hell, places without humans. whoops, excuse me for preferring nature over society. oh, "And you kids get off my lawn!!"
