A lot of favourites are dying off.

I sat maybe five feet from her in performance at the Top of the Senator in Toronto, in I suppose 1996. After that I wanted to become her lyricist, and wrote and even sent her a song. Actually it was more a parody of Dave Frishberg than a song, but it's never entered my mind to try for anybody but her.
