Good catch, but nothing so intriguing. Chose the name because I burned through all my preferred usernames trying to register unsuccessfully over the last few months (the rigorousintuition@hotmail.com e-mail was full so new registrations weren't going through.) Also happened to be listening to a Gerry Mulligan album, so the dual nature of the thing seemed fitting.Nordic » Fri Apr 07, 2017 2:52 am wrote:Can't help but wonder who Mulligan was the first time round.

Light never penetrates the land of free lies,
where lying is a right and reason is a bore.
We will kill the children without any sighs
for we too worship the golden god of war.

We dream we are different that we are not insane
But look in fancied awe at the fireworks display
That sucks the last of love from our patriotic brains

Do not show the pictures of the dead ones over there
The ones that were laughing that we killed like so many others
Do not show the screaming which would prove we do not care
Leave that up to their godless grief blind mothers

You know what? Go fuck yourself.
Clearly Trump had his Bill Hicks moment, as did Bannon and the rest of them.

C'mon, Nordic. I detect yet another "week off" in your future. Don't talk to others like that. I freely use the word "fuck" myself but never in a way to belittle or escalate. Just delete that shit now before Mr. Rex sees it.

Seen a lot of chatter about collusion, whether this represents a token strike with Russian approval, etc.. The Russians don't appear to be messing around, at least on the surface of it.

Russian Defense Ministry suspends as of April 8 the operations of a communications hotline with the Pentagon, which the two sides established in line with a memorandum of understanding on prevention of incidents and ensuring of flight safety in Syrian airspace, Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov, the Defense Ministry's official spokesman told reporters on Friday.
"About an hour ago, the US military attache in Moscow was summoned to the Defense Ministry to get an official note, which said the Russian side was suspending as of 00:00 hours on April 8 the observance of its obligations under the memorandum of understanding on prevention of incidents and ensuring of flight safety in the course of operation in the Syrian Arab Republic," he said.
Gen. Konashenkov refuted US media reports claiming Russia had decided to keep the hotline open.

Exactly the kind of cloying manipulative BS to tug on the heartstrings of the heartland of Murica that I expect from the Charlatan News Network. The one big difference between Syria today and Albania in the movie is that yesterday's Tomahawk jerkoff was not a studio invention: 80 civilians were killed by the White House thug trying to (successfully, for the moment) distract the media from his scandal. Same as it ever was.Rory » Fri Apr 07, 2017 3:09 pm wrote:rp

This is the kind of smarmily sarcastic "provocative" hit-and-run shitpost that can have no other intended purpose than to provoke a two-word response. Or maybe you can direct us to a post -- any post -- in which Nordic ever described Trump as his hero (or anything like it).norton ash » Fri Apr 07, 2017 8:29 am wrote:But it appears that your fat orange hero is right on board with the neocon agenda to bomb Syria. And yes, it is surprising to see what is alleged to be a corpse opening an eye. Anyone except a fucking White Helmet would stop filming immediately and help that remarkable corpse. But that would be inconvenient for those notorious and obvious fakers, who (of course) won a fucking Oscar or a Nobel Prize or a MacArthur Genius Grant or whatever the fuck it was, and so of course no salaried US journalist will ever question their saintliness or doubt their credibility.
You know damn well there is an enormous contingent of #nevertrumper warmongers - millions of them! - who hate Trump and are happy with any war their #LiberalConscience will allow, i.e., any that pretends, however ridiculously, to be motivated by #humanitarian principles. Twitter and the telly are currently jammed full of them. (Have you missed them?*) All of a sudden Trump is "looking Presidential". All of a sudden he's "standing up to Putin". All of a sudden he's the hero of #LiberalHumanitarianWarmongers all over the USA.norton ash » Thu Apr 06, 2017 12:51 pm wrote:#nevertrumper warmongers? Like John McCain?
