Lemme see if I get this:
Because some users are wholly incapable of ignoring and, all the more, feel compelled to comment on that which one might classify as
(oh dear, the irony) "thread hijacking", thereby expanding the distraction and codifying the takeover, RI has this fabbo feature. Is that about right?

I eagerly await a feature that will filter out any comment which doesn't mesh easily with my worldview.

All seriousness aside  ::: Those who bitch & moan at (seemingly) every single one of a certain someone's
comments probably couldn't live without that which they complain about and are more annoying than than that certain someone.....
imho :whisper:

And, no, I don't have any particular someone's in mind here; it's a general observation.

Push it down. Push it down.

It's one thing to speak impulsively contemporaneously. It's quite another to compose a written communication "impulsively" on a message board where presumably we all have a moment to think through our missives and consider their intent and likely effect.

One trick I developed quite by accident was to compose a response to said annoying person/poster and then delete it. Cathartic. Scratches that itch.

In life there is a solution to annoying people. Be by ones self. I constantly crave solitude and never get enough of it.

That wouldn't work if the annoying person is oneself,...perhaps such people find respite by annoying others. :)
