Wherever, and whatever she is doing, I hope she is well.

There has been no shortage of things on this board to make a person want to take a break.

Here's a song:

"When I'm done ranting about elite power that rules the planet under a totalitarian government that uses the media in order to keep people stupid, my throat gets parched. That's why I drink Orange Drink!"

I think it was Blaise Cendrars who said, "if you love, you got to leave."

Is anyone in contact with SLAD to see if she is OK, not deceased or ill or other than perhaps angry at and tired of RI?

I pm'ed her: message read and unanswered. So, evidently she is or has been lurking.

There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part! And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop! And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it — that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!

Speech, Sproul Hall, University of California, Berkeley (1964-12-02).
Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

It's only a metaphor, and not a very good one.

Rhetorically effective maybe, but not very good.

When I first became active on RI (which isn't too long ago), she was one of the most welcoming people here to me, and she often shared a lot of valuable content for the CAVDEF thread. And I know many of us here, including myself at some points, had heated disagreements with her, but I appreciate the differing perspective she brings. She's an integral part of this forum who I wouldn't want to see go.
Her absence is leaving a huge hole. :(

Of all the comrades that e'er I had
They are sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er I had
They would wish me one more day to stay
But since it falls unto my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call
Good night and joy be with you all

Good night and joy be with you all
