About all I can say about what you are, brekin, is that you pass a Turing test. I don't know you.

Your still unacknowledged and possibly unrecognized fallacy is to confuse a comment about your works with one about you, some person (presumably) I don't know.

It may be painful to hear that others dislike or find your work odious, but this comment was about your work, which was not censored, and your comparison of my reception of it to that experienced by Chekhov, whose subtlety, empathy and acknowledgment of ambiguity were such that his works were embraced by communists and anti-communists alike, each believing he was making their own case.

Yes of course, why didn't I see it sooner? The crude anti-humanism, the brick-in-the face misanthropy, the contempt for empathy and the individual, the lack of subtlety, the ambiguous way you take a shit on stage, the crickets chirping in seats filled neither with communists nor anti-communists. This is the second coming of Chekhov!

Not to belabor it, (but what else I guess is this thread for then to rinse and repeat about process and talk around the infamous 5 product that most are to lazy to even look at?) but Jack you only "discovered" your criticisms of the infamous 5 after the initial confounding and many subsequent pages of not knowing how to situate them, and kept calling out for crumbs in how to. ("This is satire, right? Right? RIGHT!!? Are you really wanting to reanimate Jim Jones to run as presidential candidate?" *Not a direct quote obviously, you get my drift.) I really don't care if people find the posts in good taste, provocative, even if they likey or not. It is interesting to know, of course, and why, but I don't make my living or my identity on spur of the moment cyber decolletage. I do (obviously) get annoyed when you sweepingly put yourself on the side of the angels and declare them anti-, mis-, this or that, which by reflection one can only assume the maker of is also.
Anyways I declare victory in this flame war because no one else has yet. (which cries out for accompanying image of Leo in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood with flamethrower but God knows what that would kick off with The Ministry of Culture of the Union of Sniffy Rigorous Intuition Republics

I still swear by his black and white movies. Watching them all in high school, mostly on VHS, was just so pivotal for me. Stray Dog, Drunken Angel, Ikiru, I Live in Fear, Sanshiro Sugata, Rashomon, Yojimbo, Seven Samurai, High & Low, etc. How can you go wrong?
