Thank you, stefano! I could've watched that pendulum All. Night. Long.stefano wrote:
I wonder the effect though on the pendulum when Vladimir Ashkenazy's recording is playing (rather than the synthesized version)? Wondering minds

Pakistan Orchestra Reinvents Jazz Classics
— BBC News | South Asia | July 21, 2011
— a newsworthy video at BBC link
A new orchestra in the Pakistani city of Lahore is causing some excitement in the world of jazz - and turning around their own fortunes at the same time.
For years, classical musicians in Pakistan have faced tough times. As well as the issues everyone else in the country is facing, their profession all but died.
Most had been making music for the Pakistani film industry but the increasing influence of religion in society, and the easy availability of Indian movies, meant the industry collapsed.
But the Sachal Orchestra is sparking something of a revival. Their first jazz album Sachal Jazz was released recently.
The veteran American jazz musician, Dave Brubeck, described their interpretation of one of his tracks as "the most interesting recording of it he has ever heard".

— published six days ago by Ruslan Fedotow
- [VIMEO NOTES.] Following the recent events that took place in Syria, people all over the world used to see this country like it presented by media. I have been twice there and can assure you Syria is a wonderful land with its age-old traditions and unique culture.
First, I came to Syria together with my friends in August 2010. That's exactly when I shot my first video about the place. Later Blake Whitman showed it on vimeo.com HD channel. The movie was warmly met and watched by a great number of people, what gave me an opportunity to take part in another project in Syria in February this year. It was a documentary about the country made in 20 days. I was DOP in a second unit.
The video you see I made together with my friend from my Syrian shot here, at home. I wish people remembered Syria a great and marvelous country like it really is! Thank you!
