Currently reading The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. So far, so good. For some reason I can't find time to read as much as I'd like to.
Born we are the same, within the silence, indifference be Thy name
Torn we walk alone, we sleep in silent shades
The grandeur fades, the meaning never known- 'Born' Nevermore

1984, because it's so uplifting.

I was inspired to read it again after many many years when my son first read it a few months ago. I bought my son and daughter each a copy of the Creature and 1984 around 2004 when I first came upon RI and was concerned the books would be banned. Many years later my son, after coming out of the massive Corona inspired fog, read the copy I bought him when he was a little guy. The observations and discussions we now have are incredible. I'm happy that my son read the book. It's actually depressing as f*k to reread it, but the reminders of the evil of doublespeak/think are good to have as we are inundated in the media. Next up is a refresher on Brave New World.
