Re: Trump Inauguration Protests

I've been arguing back and forth about the Women's March. I'm not sure where I stand on it.
On one hand, I generally support protesters. Women's rights is, of course, something I support. This particular march, though, feels off to me. It seems to me that this might be the first march in American history to keep things the way they are now.
I mean, nothing has changed, yet. Sure, the GOP in congress will likely pass all sorts of legislation to upset women, and Trump will likely sign most of it. That's my point, I think . . . when that inevitably happens, then what?
Are they going to have another march? Will the press cover the next one as much? Will people be sympathetic when it's a reoccurring thing?
It really feels like this march is more about protesting the results of the election. Everyone dislikes Trump and they're afraid of what he'll do. I get it.
But shouldn't they also be marching past the DNC headquarters and demonstrating their anger at the corruption and cronyism that likely cost the Democrats the election? In my book, Trump won the election fair and square, and so my anger is directly targeted towards the party that LOST the election due to being just terrible.
Where were all these liberals marching when Obama continued to drone bomb women and children (accidentally - oops) overseas for the last 8 years? Where were they when Lybia was destroyed by American and European forces for really no reason? Where were they as the Obama administration pushed the states to open up public schools to even more high-stakes testing and corporate influence? Where were they as healthcare costs continued to skyrocket, even as the Democrats promised that the ACA would bring them down? Where has Occupy Wallstreet been as the DOW hit historic highs, but the majority of jobs created these last 8 years have been part-time, low-wage positions?
There's been plenty to protest, and there WILL BE plenty to protest. I'm just not sure if this weekend's was the most effective use of that energy, or if it was even directed at the right target.
