It's pretty obvious he almost immediately regretted his decision to buy Twitter and that it was a spur of the moment thing. He spent the next six months doing everything in his power to wiggle out of it, but since he waived his due diligence rights (which, holy shit, is monumentally stupid on a 44 billion dollar purchase) he had to pony up the cash and go through with it.
His only hope now is that AT&T buys it for 100 billion.
It's very difficult for forbes rich listers to selldown stock. they need a double-narrative to do it so they don't spook holders while they bleed them. gates and bezos got divorced and funneled it into their foundations through their ex-wives. elon put his tesla stock up as collateral to buy twitter so morgan stanley could force him to sell without him actually selling. the guy basically has privatized nasa in spaceX and now has political influence with twitter.
the alternative narrative was "elon musk liquidates holdings at the expense of his loyal investors". tesla is a ponzi scheme and this his escape hatch. he can IPO spaceX and make another 50 billions.

I wouldn't call Tesla a Ponzi scheme. They're selling actual products and making a profit. Wildly overvalued, absolutely, and now that everyone else is serious about getting into EVs it would be great if Tesla cratered so Musk would be forced to IPO SpaceX and hopefully lose control of that too (ideally after Starship is up and running. Quarterly profit MBA assholes wouldn't approve funding for it).

Another key aspect of suppression and propaganda in media comes through on Netflix, with the endless "true crime" material they pump out. This material is almost invariably a limited hangout at best and horrendous disinformation at worst.
Case-in-point would be their 2019 series The Confession Killer all about Henry Lee Lucas. To hear the documentary tell it, Lucas, once held up as the most prolific serial killer in history, most likely wasn't (or was barely) a serial killer at all. He was little more than a serial false confessor, who was used by police to clear troublesome unsolved murders, and was in fact fed case information by unsavory cops to ensure Lucas would have the details needed to "confirm" a case. The main culprits in these schemes were the Texas Rangers, who let Lucas view case files and accepted confessions of his which they knew were impossible. And when a principled Texas DA began an investigation which exposed this corruption, the Rangers attempted to frame him up on false charges of bribery.
Everything I've written in the above paragraph is the official narrative on Henry Lee Lucas. It's what comes through in the Netflix documentary, and most in the true crime community don't question it. But is this popular story actually true?
Jimmy Falun Gong (of the Programmed to Chill podcast) and I have been working on a series together where we challenge this consensus. Lucas will probably be infamous to many RI users as the sole recipient of a death sentence commutation from Texas Governor George W. Bush. You might also recall his claims of being in a satanic cult known as the Hand of Death which did murder-for-hire and other organized crime activities. Based on new documents that I've obtained, we explore questions such as:
Is it really true that, besides the murders of his mother, Becky Powell, and Kate Rich, there are no other murders which can be reliably attributed to Lucas?
Why did Lucas end up recanting all of his murder confessions?
Did the Hand of Death actually exist?
What is the explanation for GWB's unusual actions towards Lucas as governor?
First 4 episodes just came out. The next 5 are being released in a couple weeks. It's subscriber-only, so I don't begrudge anyone not wanting to commit, but Jimmy does amazing work in general and I think it's absolutely worthwhile. Is that podcast title a play off McGowan's book? He delves into Lucas as well, if I recall the material correctly. Will need to re-read it.

Yes, it is. Programmed to Chill basically takes a lot of the cases and worldview explored in Programmed to Kill, and develops them further through more in-depth research. Last year, for instance, Jimmy found that Henry Lee Lucas spent time in a Michigan mental institution (Ionia State Hospital) proven to have run MKUltra projects during that time. This is a pretty big confirmation of McGowan's thesis about Lucas being a programmed killer. Now we have a new series coming out on Lucas that goes even further into (in my view) proving that McGowan was right about Lucas getting mind-controlled and being part of a satanic cult.

if i had to choose a most vital lie, it would be that human behavior needed to change in any way shape or form because there was a sudden pandemic of an especially dangerous respiratory virus. significantly, this lie is unaffected by debate over the virus' origin.
Just watched a little of the video and it confirms the performative vapidity of representatives such as Stacy Plaskett and arseholes like Roth, each confirming the others bullshit without any meaningful substance or principal expressed. That Mr Roth pretends he is a victim is just sad and simply untrue. He believes that his actions as chief censor on behalf of power - over people such as you and I on social media - should entail no consequences. Both seem to believe in some divine right to decide what we can express and how, what we should be allowed to read or view, that we cannot be trusted to come to our own conclusions and that like children, we must be shepherded and protected from what they presume to identify as 'harmful' content or 'disinformation'. Transparent nonsense. Plaskett does it in party and nationalistic terms, Roth through the bridling sense of his own personal superiority and importance (my hunch) effacing his sense of entitlement (to decide what others like us should be allowed to experience or allowed to express) by pretending that he cares what other former Twitter staff are going through. Lying bastard. I've worked for entitled cunts like him in the past, appearing, as he does, a self made clone of Fuckerberg. He'll use anyone and anything to protect his own fragile ego.

They basically want to create a “federal reserve” of information with technocrat-priests who bless that which is “good information” and condemn that which is bad. this seems to be the template currently in use, rather than a cautionary message of what _could_ happen.
