Ah. So, not Sunil? Can we citizens inspect those licenses? Will #2 live to face trial, speak?
It was interesting that the Today Show just had an interview with a high school classmate of the younger brother. She said it looked like him but discounted it since she had heard that it was the guy from Brown.

Confirmation bias (also called confirmatory bias or myside bias) is a tendency of people to favor information that confirms their beliefs or hypotheses.[Note 1][1] People display this bias when they gather or remember information selectively, or when they interpret it in a biased way. The effect is stronger for emotionally charged issues and for deeply entrenched beliefs. For example, in reading about current political issues, people usually prefer sources that affirm their existing attitudes. They also tend to interpret ambiguous evidence as supporting their existing position. Biased search, interpretation and memory have been invoked to explain attitude polarization (when a disagreement becomes more extreme even though the different parties are exposed to the same evidence), belief perseverance (when beliefs persist after the evidence for them is shown to be false), the irrational primacy effect (a greater reliance on information encountered early in a series) and illusory correlation (when people falsely perceive an association between two events or situations).
H/T and apologies to General Patton.

He was 6'2" and, like 120 - 130 pounds. It's possible that the video footage is misleading, but fwiw, the guy at the marathon doesn't look that tall or thin to me.

All of a sudden being a bag dropper equals being a mastermind.
The reports coming out of the coroners' office were saying that they noted healed burn marks and bullet wounds on the body of the dead suspect, indicating mercenary-style work and training. I think that was via NPR. One more biscuit crumb for Gladio, in my book.

My NPR affiliate cut over to WBUR for a short while. There, a correspondent had her nephew on the phone. The nephew graduated with the younger brother from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. The correspondent had hosted him at a graduation party; she confidently asserted she had photos of him in his tuxedo. The nephew described both brothers as very social, well-liked, with a good group of friends.
The media have found an uncle in the DC region. He said they have been in the US for about ten years.

Seems like Fahrenheit 451. This very public manhunt is absolutely terrifying. All the more so because of the enormous confusion about WHOM we are supposed to be profiling and ratting out. Sunil? Random Moroccan student? Saudi Arabian? THEM. Hard to imagine that the supsect-of-the-hour is going to make it out aloud.
If you see something, say something

interesting tidbit from Salon:
The family lived modestly in the top floor of a multifamily house on a side street in Cambridge, the friend said, helped partly by Section 8 housing funds and the largesse of their landlord, an elderly woman who also tutored and helped the family place the children in good local schools. The family got some financial help from Mr. Tsarnayev's brother, who was employed by a western oil company in Kazakhstan, said the family friend.

So, wasn't the guy last seen driving away? Having a hard time imagining how they lost him?
EDIT:
Live: Boston bombers’ uncle says Dzhokar has shamed Chechnya
http://www.firstpost.com/world/live-bos ... 11798.html
8.45 pm One of the uncle’s Ruslan Tsarni of the suspects is giving a live conference. He says no connection to Islam, Religion is a fraud. However he admits somebody could have radicalised them. The only explanation for this is that they were losers. ‘My brother (the boys’ father) has spent his life trying to help his children.”
He says his own family has nothing to with his brother’s family. “My family has been away from them.”
He insists that ‘being losers’ could be a reason for why they chose violence. The family had received asylum in the United States.
He says that Dzhokar has shamed Chechnya, and its people. He should turn himself in and ask for forgiveness for his crimes.
The uncle seems to be clarifying the ‘losers’ remark and says that the people who radicalised them were losers.
8.43 pm Police are expected to give a media briefing soon on the ongoing manhunt for the the suspects in the Boston bombings.
Meanwhile the father of the boys has spoken to Associated Press and said that, “My son is a true angel. Dzhokhar is a second-year medical student in the US. He is such an intelligent boy. We expected him to come on holidays here.” You can view the full report here. 8.10 pm: It seems that the Police have found the vehicle in connection with the bombing. However the car was empty reports the Boston Globe.
