Indeed, that is the question, is it not? They already had 2...3, who knows how many other "successful" "socialistic" sites. Why the need to fly under a false progressive flag? Curious minds wonder

btw when do you think TA will have all those other groups united and joined together as one happy family?

Think Google.

Think how many people Google "socialist" or "socialism".

Think how many people Google "progressive".

Now which one would give them the most exposure in the age of Google?

Fidelity to principle can easily take a back seat to a much larger audience.

I'm not sure how productive PI has been in becoming an internet player. There have also been a number of forums able to hack away at the credibility of Democratic Underground. PI has never completely cornered that market. Calling itself Progressive Independent perhaps helped a lot a few years back to sway in many disenchanted with DU. I think the words progressive and independent were selected by Tinoire, precisely because she was marketing for lefties.

Think about this. Would any true lefty endorse Michael Rivero or Ron Paul? Now I'd like to drop one little itty bitty tidbit for your perusal. Would it come as a surprise to anyone that Tinoire has claimed to work for military intelligence? If that claim wasn't a lie, how believable is it that someone who used to be a spy would end up as a progressive? Is it more bizarre that Tinoire has supported Ron Paul or that she might have been in military intelligence? I think her backstory was kind of believable having come from a military background. But I always thought she was a grunt, someone who may have joined up for economic reasons. One last question. How come from as far as I can see, Tinoire has only mentioned this role in military intelligence just once? Wouldn't it have made more sense if she had come clean on this in an overt manner and explained how she went from being pretty much a right winger spy to an activist lefty?

I was in Military Intelligence

Hello Dutch, Sorry it took me so long to reply. I don't come to this board often and just saw this. Yes I was a soldier and am recently retired. I spent 20 years in the military and my time was split between Carson, Hood, Meade, Augsburg, Berlin and the Pentagon with all the obligatory exercised at Wildeflicken, NTC, and Reforger. I was in Military Intelligence and kept a very watchful eye on the Soviets.

If you look at the whole thread, it is clearly the same Tinoire. Now she'll probably show up here and say someone stole her username, or maybe she'll ignore it and hope it fades away. Personally I won't believe her if she denies making that post. Her support of Ron Paul and Michael Rivero add up now. This sudden shift to a Heil Lenin forum now adds up, at least to me. My opinion is that she is another Hal Turner, someone who has not been as genuine as they have liked to appear. I declare that the Reign of Tinoire is over. :D

Tinoire is a registered Republican

It's tough to tell who you are referring to, as in which side or both sides. Nonetheless, Tinoire has been a player on the internet for a long time, and there's no reason not to expose someone like her who appears to have been up to playing mind games for years.

Hey, Fresno Layshaft. I thought you left the board. How disappointing to see you again..

Think your fragmented-out-of-context sig quote knocks me down?
Think again.

I quote from a 1989 college textbook on advertising by Courtland L. Bovee and William F. Arens, 'Contemporary Advertising: Third Edition, page 516-
Advantages of Transit Advertising
.....
Transit advertising also reaches mass audiences. It offers geographic flexibility and can reach various ethnic or neighborhood groups. New York Subway Advertising uses census tracts and city population reports to develop a complete picture of subway riders. It claims that 89 percent of all blacks and 90 percent of Hispanic adults in New York are reachable through the subways. As a result, many advertisers have placed subway ads that are specifically targeted to the black and Hispanic markets...
.....

So mass transit is definitely an urban phenomenon capable of reaching urban demographics.

Science vs Fresno Layshaft. One to zero.

For the rest of you, contrary to the malicious lies here, I have not ahem *given up*, I recently became involved with 2 organizations trying to alleviate some problems in Latin America (Orphans and neglected animals) that require more of my time as I prepare to move down there to volunteer full-time.

I have a feeling that the good faith with which I'm writing this post may not be received as such. But please believe that I am as serious as the grave when I say that in good faith, I couldn't live with myself if I didn't say very clearly that if you want to fight tyranny and help the suffering, you should quadruple- and quintuple check both of those organizations very, very thoroughly before you move to Latin America as a full-time volunteer for them. Please, Tinoire. I am begging you. And I don't even know you. But please, please promise me that you will make sure, among other things, that the orphan-helping in Latin America isn't actually child-trafficking in Latin America. Because it really, really might be.

Also, please, please promise me that you will look very closely at both of these organizations to see if there's any sign that either of them is affiliated with a destructive cult. Again, I am begging you. They really do make a point of targeting people whose lives are in a transitional place due to a loss that left them more vulnerable than they ordinarily would be. And they also really do target them by purporting to be dedicated to alleviating the suffering of small children and animals. To the point that it wouldn't just almost be a cliche if it weren't such an arcane thing to know about. It would be one.

Please forgive me for having been intrusive, if I have been. But also please do not go anywhere before you make sure that you are not dealing with people who might be vicious enough to exploit your desire to live your life in a way that's in full accordance with your highest principles and commitment to justice, just so that they can get you far enough away from every existing support network you've got that by the time they let you know that you're going to be helping orphans and animals by sharing a room with five to ten other people, eating one meal a day and selling the organization's literature door to door in seventeen-hour long shifts, you'll already have been doing it for long enough that you'll be so isolated, malnourished and sleep-deprived that you'll be grateful to them for giving you the chance.

Okay? That very well might not be the deal. And I'm not saying that it is. I'm just saying that you should make sure it's not. And I'm saying it very, very seriously.

Check out all their financial disclosures over at guidestar.org. Search every name on the board of directors. Take a look on where their money comes from and where it goes. And it can't hurt to search the factnet forum, or freedomofmind.com for any mention of the people or the organization as part of a front group, either. That does take a little while to do, and it might not be necessary. But you don't stand to lose more than a few hours by doing it. As weighed against: possibly the rest of your life if you don't. So: Can't hurt much, may help a lot.

I apologize again for butting in, and...um, thank you in advance for what I hope will be your tolerance? I can't think of an appropriate exit line. But I do hope you'll check the org's out, and that you'll understand that I wouldn't write this at all if I didn't sincerely wish you well.

So thanks.

No, it's not a surprise, but that is because I know her and have spoken to her offline. She is not just some anonymous screen name on the internet, she's a real person.

There are many reasons most people don't reveal who they really are or who they've worked for when they're on the internet. Since I know Tin, I know she didn't hide her background for sinister reasons, she did it to protect her private life from people who would do her harm. Unfortunately, it seems those people who would do her harm, found ways to get past the walls she put up to protect herself.

In regards to Ron Paul, she spoke about supporting him at one point. This was back when he started to get media attention has a potential candidate for President. He seemed like someone who was speaking truth to power, but it didn't take long for all of us, including Tin to realize he was someone that was not what we had hoped.

Goddamn I hate Politics!
I can not decide which I despise more, Politics or Religion.
In fact, I don't think there is a difference between the two other than those stupid hats.
I can not figure out why they even exist, are they simply genetically predisposed traits, inherent to man/woman, or are they more akin to a virus, a parasitic infection, a cancer...genital warts?

Really? I thought "insanity" covered everything...at least it has in my experience and observation...yet, even in the event it doesn't, there's always a paycheck...

someone who swears the most important oaths to their country (presumably) brooks the totalitarian overthrow of a democracy minded (presumably, what an ass of me) message board?
Let me get my calculator and see if that adds up...
Whats the factor for insanity?
Less than or greater than lying bullshit?
