The crack team (snort snort ha ha) seem to have sOLvE!dDd!! several of the board operation problems, including the SQL flood, and we are now in process of reopening the board to Guests. GD and a couple of low-down forums should be accessible already? (It sounds ridiculous, but those of you familiar with phpBB can imagine scenarios in which what should be a one-switch operation will actually require me to have half an hour or more just to screw around with drop-down menus until all of our 9,622 sub-forums are again visible.)

Also, I restored sticky power. Wow!

Was wondering what part RSS feeds (always a guest on the page with my RSS client) has to do with these issues? Wondering if every time I click on a link in the RSS feed list, I am getting logged in as ANOTHER guest?

Okay, like a million days later (20) I finally opened all the sub-forums again to guests. Sorry about that. Entirely my fault, as with various things. We hope this doesn't mean renewed problems. Probably not.
