^^^ OK, Mars always shakes me to the core (that version was particularly intense, imo). Need to relax now. This is the Lounge after all.

...
I'm listening to my favourite radio show of the week.
Amps off on planet rock.
Planetrock.com.
But yeah I love King Crimson and the Planets suite.
There are echoes of the Mars theme in elements of the Star Wars soundtrack.
Yeah.
Mars.
Again.
The chances of anything coming from mars are a million to one.
On edit: right now Daysleeper by my beloved REM.
Turn on and tune in.

Saturn’s moon Enceladus holds promise of alien life
“It has got liquid water, organic material and a source of heat. It is hard to think of anything more enticing short of receiving a radio signal from aliens on Enceladus telling us to come and get them.”

^^^
That’s what I’ll do!
And, after a full day’s work of catching all those aliens, take a breather, rest and relax with some Ravel once you’re home.ninakat quoted, not wrote: “…It is hard to think of anything more enticing short of receiving a radio signal from aliens on Enceladus telling us to come and get them.”
^ Pavane pour une infante défunte | Maurice Ravel
“Do not be surprised that title has nothing to do with
the composition. I simply liked the sound of those
words and I put them there, c’est tout”.
^ Ravel spoke. Notice Wiki.
Art will be the last bastion when all else fades away.

Pavane is one of my favorites, Allegro. Love the Ravel quote -- seems he was a bit of a mischief maker. Something about his music resonates with me more than most other composers' work.
Youtube took that particular video down.... here's one to replace it (with Seiji Ozawa):
and this one, Mother Goose Suite, never fails to gives me goosebumps (no pun intended) all over my body at the end, and I often cry too...

A trick of the tail is not one of my especial favourites, Bruce.
I mean, its pretty good.
All the worse for lacking Gabriel, of course.
And at the time I think poor old Steve H for various reasons was finding it difficult to work with the others.
Entangled of course is rather nice.
And my air drums get quite the bashing on Los Endos.
Prog rules.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I know this is a pretty controversial position to take, but I prefer Collins as the singer for Genesis. In fact, I always listen to the Seconds Out and Three Sides Live versions of a lot of the Gabriel songs.
For instance...
Having said that, though, I LOVE Gabriel's solo material, and I believe that of all the Genesis albums, collective or solo, this is the best.

Fer sure some of the live collins era medleys were great.
Yet still you disappoint me Bruce.
Gabriel though is a genuine spiritual aspirant, visionary and seer.
An angel, in fact.
Well, archangel, actually.
