^^ Yeah, that's nice, but I'm still not giving you any discount on web design.

Sunny was a great mod, and Annie too. I never knew that either of them were mods until I'd been here a year and a half, which is a sign of good moderation.
I never saw any mods speaking ex cathedra here, as I see quite often on other boards. It is worth re-stating just how unique this place is on the internet. To have a board like this, dealing with some highly inflammatory subjects, that is both lightly moderated and (for the most part) civil, friendly, and free of endless circular flame wars and shitposting is rare indeed.
Well done everybody!

Fully agree. Astonishingly civil, yet filled with controversy. But more than that, an agreement that shit's fucked and we all see eye to eye on that. Anti-racist. Anti-fascist. Anti-sexist. A place I know that I can share virtually anything I find or think of. I know of no other place on the web like it.

Even when RI's fractious, it's not so bad. It's a clean, well-lit place.

That's all true, for sure, and I can't overstate my love for this place - but I maybe painted an overly rosy picture now that I think of it. It seems churlish to say how great the place is when the likes of C2W?, 8bit, and LBO are no longer here. We are far poorer than we were, as a community, without them posting. I know it is not the fault of the moderation that they are no longer with us, but I can't really say everything is great in their absence. That'd be wrong.
They're only gone for the time being, though. That's how I see it (and I'm sure I'm right).

Well put you two, I quite agree.
This place is like Rense but without the anti semitism, racism, sexism, and populist fear mongering.
Well, we do sometimes get the populist fear mongering, I guess.
For the inside scoop without the lunacy (apart from my own regrettable and borderline psychotic posting), this is the place to be.
So yeah, well done everybody.
We still have very many great posters here, lets celebrate them all.

Nooooooo! Never say that! Jeff has much better hair than Rense, for a start - but then, that is true of all human life.
The impression I got from Rense's site, to be honest, was that they aren't actually being serious about anything other than (as you said)

Those things sometimes seem to be the real reason for the site's existence. It's like St@rmFr@nt, except some of the aliens are from Nibiru instead of Tijuana.
Saying that, I haven't been there in over a year, and always looked askance at the place.

Never seen any borderline psychotic posting from you. If you're anything like me, you might sometimes think you've posted, or said, or done, terrible things, but you won't have done anything too far out of the ordinary in reality. That feeling is borderline psychotic in itself, but pretty common (and if it was more common, we'd maybe have fewer people in the real world doing terrible things and not worrying about it afterwards).
