• "The entire act was sending a subliminal message to the world, and that message is the following. 'Take heart, lovers of pleasure. Our satanic messiah is about to appear with great power to usher in world peace so that everyone (who worships Satan ) can have a good time,'"

I'm sure it's all just irony.

Perhaps an artifact of HDTV? (the crotch shot ...and not the triumphal march of cleopatra which was definitely noted even with low resolution).

I watched on an old school antenna connection and didn't see shit except an older dancer trying some things that were distracting from her act big time.

Maybe this was there all the time and we just didn't see it.

Thought about some points I've seen raised about the show and yup, the L-U-V Madonna creeped me out a little at the time.

Nobody can create publicity for herself like Madonna. In fact, it's the only thing she's actually good at.

This halftime show certainly reinforced the paganism = satanism paradigm.

In all seriousness, I loved it. The performers all seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves in a way that (I think) one can't fake, and the thought of Alex Jones and Vigilant Citizen popping aneurysms was the icing on the cake.

If only. Blood vessels were popping alright, just not in their crania. It's exactly what they want to see, because it's material for their next show. The system in their way of looking at the world is insidious because once you've been exposed to it, you'll always easily see things through their frame and know what they'll be saying afterward.

Who cares how AJ or VC react. We are not talking about a random music video. This was the highest rated show in TV history. 111 million viewers.

If you watched the show, what do you think is going on? Nothing to see here, just move along? Really? If so, that's fascinating to me and I would be interested in hearing why beyond the fact that you don't like AJ and/or VC type of commentary on the event. It is easy to just tune it out because the topic has become blasé. I normally do too, but I'm making an exception here because it was the Super Bowl.
