Interesting. I recall in the early days hearing this rule being already in effect. Thing is, with no enforcement arm (legal) you have to go to the cops if you want to enforce the camp rule. I think its a good rule on the whole.
Watching things from town to town on the live feed is wild. Last night, a small encampment was rolled up by the cops in Iowa. I just finished watching protestors in Atlanta defend and hold the park from an attempted sweep. Fascinating. They did it! Who's park? OUR PARK! Boston is in question tonight too.
After the 15th, I think they should think of an exit strategy whereby the dialogue continues online and in town halls, but what do I know. Fielding a domestic citizen army will take its toll eventually....unless this is it. Goin' for broke now. Who knows where we're going.

If we are all arrested tonight, it will be the biggest mass arrest in Massachusetts since a huge 1968 Vietnam protest. #occupyboston

Wow! You got a naked guy. Makes sense for SF I guess.

I am going to suggest recruiting naked guys at the next GA.

Good luck on naked guys in Seattle this time of year. I would think the rain would get uncomfortable after awhile. Besides around here we'd probably just get the same pudgy guys who strip for football games and paint themselves green and blue....

No way Countdown, the occupy movement stated its main goal in the moment it adopted its name. The lever of these protests is the ability to stay, to occupy. We can't withdraw until there has been a measurable impact upon the corrupt power structures that generated the action(s) in the first place.
Besides, I'm not sure the occupation will take a toll, rather I think it possible that these occupations may form the new loci of neo-Hoover towns, as more and more of us fall victim to the status quo.

I think I'll throw it out there regardless, by way of introduction, next time I'm down. Hi Twyla!

The naked SF occupier was quite a sight, I must say. He was not only naked, but completely hairless from the neck down. Occasionally he'd hold his little "Occupy SF" sign in front of his package as if he had to make a small show of "propriety", but for the most part, it was full-on frontal. A pudgy, greyhaired sixty-ish tourist lady paused next to me to clock his action, and commented to her husband that frankly she liked more meat on her men. Still, it seemed to take her a bit of time to form that observation and verify it, 'cause she kept on looking.

Public Divided on Occupy Wall Street Protesters
Wednesday, October 05, 2011
As they marched through Manhattan, they chanted of how the “Big Banks Got Bailed Out, We Got Left Behind.” The Occupy Wall Street protesters found a slogan that resonates with the American people but not many people embrace the protesters views of an economy more regulated by the government.
[where did that ^^ come from? lol!]
Seventy-nine percent (79%) of Americans agree with the statement that the “The big banks got bailed but the middle class got left behind." A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of American adults found that just 10% disagree with that statement and 11% are not sure.

Police Ordering Us to De-Camp at Westlake, Trying To Move Us to City Hall
Posted by Tai Kulystin on Mon, 10/10/2011 - 23:00
Police have given an order to de-camp. They are trying to facilitate breaking down the medical tent and moving all of us to City Hall Plaza even though we have not agreed to move. This has come from Lt. Nollette of SPD.
According to Legal: "The police are currently acting against the city's orders. The mayor's office is calling the police to tell them to back down for tonight."
As of writing this at 11pm there have been no arrests, but that may change.
Update 11:25pm The mayors office has given us 24 hours to come up with our demands concerning relocation, encouraging us to move to City Hall Plaza. "If we don't come up with something reasonable in the next 24 hours they will arrest everyone in the park, and will keep doing it every night until we move."
Despite what the Mayor's office said the police are NOT backing down and will arrest people tonight according to the Lieutenant on site.
