yall should be happy.

this means the downfall of the demo republican dual party and the end of a substantial chunk of the mic, probably more than 80% of big pharma, big ag, big banks, big insurance, big prisons, militarized police, bad roads, and taxes and taxes and taxes and taxes and taxes and taxes and taxes and all subsidies

trump should name his choice for deputy secretary of the treasury, the highest ranking employee in the civil service, if he has the legal power to do so. does he? idk. it remains to be seen what could happen but that doesn't matter either, we were dead either way

and we get to ask elon how much he has gotten

The people above them in the chain of command? The treasury secretary and her deputy were appointed by Biden, so they were out on the 20th when Trump took over, and Lebryk, as the senior civil servant, temporarily stepped up while Trump's replacements were confirmed by the Senate. Then a bunch of nitwits came along and asked Lebryk to do something illegal, so he resigned.

This is pretty basic stuff.

Trump appoints the secretary and the deputy secretary. The highest ranking civil servant is one step below the deputy, which is why Lebryk was the one to step up when Biden's deputy (Wally) was out on the 20th. Lebryk wasn't a political appointee, he was a career civil servant.

Yellen is a political appointee—not civil service.

More about Lebryk:
David Lebryk has been an employee at the United States Treasury since 1989 and has been Fiscal Assistant Treasury Secretary since 2014, which is the highest position a civil service employee can reach; everyone above him is a political appointee. ... His understanding of the operational systems that undergird the functioning of the United States Treasury is far and away unparalleled.

You're being sarcastic, right? Or do you actually think that the billionaire class is going to "end big banks and big insurance"? I cannot imagine anything more delusional.

You know that tariffs are taxes, right?

is anybody going to sit here and claim they knew who was controlling this cash geyser and had confidence in their credentials and rectitude? anybody? the fact that it exists is the scandal
Neither Musk nor his band of postpubescent pissants have the credentials or the rectitude to do what they're trying to do.

This is not an "audit." Audits are conducted by CPAs under proper conditions. This is a power grab by a handful of megalomaniacal billionares.

This entire fiasco is based on Musk's idiotic belief that taxes pay for Treasury bonds ("teh debt"). Acting on this delusion will destroy the US economy and impoverish everyone but the richest.

It's a really bad movie plot.

depends on what happens to the six trillion dollar cash volcano. will it go extinct? or change hands and go back incognito as before? ironic that i believe the football will again be yanked before either point is vindicated. we would recognize freedom.
