drunvalo melchizadek is a bit of a new age guru type.

he is into sacred geometry and Christ consciousness, claiming that an extra 2 chromosones will lead hmanity out of its divided state.

his ideas aren't that bad but some of his claims are alittle far out.

I think he was a big proponent of the merkaba idea. (Sorry slim). I dunno if its all bullsjhit either, some of it rings very true, other bits, especially the context, seem typical new age ego tripping.

http://www.drunvalo.net/

that's his website.

I think his name has come up on here before, in the unsavory new age mind control nexus.

Apparantly the Tool song fortysix and 2 is a ref to his ideas on "Christ consciousness".

.

Uh... no.. Definitely not for me. Just thought the hexagram was cool.
Not that I have a problem with that stuff. I just think there are easier ways to get laid. :)

Joe knows where I'm coming from. I was going to say "preferably without life support", but I didn't want to be too mean-spirited. Paul Mavrides -- hahahaha!

The Wikipedia article about the mythical/traditional "Melchizedek" is better than I expected: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melchizedek

Agreed about the crop circles, brownzeroed.

cc, here's a good site: Space Audio

Thanks for posting that cymatics video, HiFi_Zither. I hadn't seen it. I've only messed around with rudimentary Chladni plate/membrane type things before, and I'd love to set up something to do liquid experiments. Those bits with the whirling galaxy looking spirals are so beautiful!

NASA - Voyager Recordings - Symphonies of the Planets (1992)

This is a collection of audio sensor data from the Voyager probe as it cruised out of our solar system. See the included pdf for details on what instruments recorded this. This comes from a 5 CD set from Laserlight that is no longer available. Each track is from one CD.

Enjoy the true sounds of space as interpreted by our crude instruments. The only thing missing is Bowman's heavy breathing.

Lossless, of course, for your enjoyment.

---

"Sounds from the interaction of the Solar Wind with the magnetosphere of Planets, Moons and Rings of Planets In Our Solar System"

"In 1990, we made the Symphonies of the Planets series from raw, uncataloged space sounds data as a promotional series.. We did not go through the lengthily process to document specific planets, moons or rings. Rather we selected random information from the raw data and processed it to produce Symphonies of the Planets. However all sounds are Space Sounds. There are no engine sounds from the spaceprobes.

Since that time we have cataloged and made 12 titles of specific planets, moons of planets and rings of planet swhich are included in this catalog.

This re-release of the 5 CD (no cassettes available) Symphonies of the Planets series is now packaged as a set which include a 6th CD titled Celestial Love Songs. Celestial Love Songs contains 4 minutes each of the cataloged Space Sounds titles."

this cd set is so far out of print that you can barely find them indiviually used. together as a set - nearly impossible to be found.
amazon has a sample of the first track

i also really like these recordings: Nasa Space Sounds from Neuroacoustic Research

also, this is a click-able Space Sound Sampler
(if you click the circles in the lower right hand section you can access weather sounds, whale sounds, and dinosaur sounds)

here is more info on the Neuroacoustic Recordings:

NASA SPACE SOUND RECORDINGS

In 1989, we were approached by representatives working with NASA and JPL to explore a series of powerful recordings which the Voyager I & II Spacecraft had sent back from Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. These recordings seemed to be having a profound effect on those scientists and researchers who were exposed to them. We were approached as experts in the field of sound and healing, and especially in our work with "Primordial" Sounds (human body sounds and nature sounds played at different speeds which cause a deep response in the unconscious mind, useful in healing and psychotherapy). They wanted us to research the possible meaning and applications of the use of these NASA Space Sound Recordings from the planets in healing and thier possible beneficial effects on the unconscious mind...

These sounds were recordings of the interaction of the Solar wind and the Ionisphere of each of the outer planets. The resonance of these ions is exactly within the range of human hearing (20-20,000 Hz) - called by NASA "Ion Acoustic Waves". This means that nothing had to be done artificially to the sounds to hear them - The REAL "Music of the Spheres". Although there is no air in space, there is vibration, it just doesn’t have the medium of air to carry the vibration to your ear. With the specialized recording equipment aboard Voyager, it became possible to record these amazing sounds for the first time and then hear them here on Earth.

These sounds were remarkably similar to explorations we had been making into what we were calling "Primordial" Sounds - sounds recorded from the human body (breath, heart, blood, organs, etc) as well as nature sound recordings all speeded up and slowed down to impact the unconscious mind. Human voice speech patterns speeded up by three times sounded amazingly similar to birds chirping, speeded by 8 times - like crickets, speeded more - like dolphin squeaks and slowed down, like the ocean. Recordings of Nature sounds speeded up and slowed down, in turn, showed similar "primordially" recognizable properties: Crickets slowed down sounded like birds chirping, birds slowed down sounded like dolphins and dolphins slowed down sounded like people singing…

Imagine our amazement when we heard these NASA Space Sound recordings that sounded like dolphins, whales, ocean, crickets, choirs, Tibetan bowls and monks chanting! Something in the core of the unconscious awakens and pays close attention in the presence of these sounds. These are some of the most powerful tools for healing, inner awakening and self change that we have researched and produced as CD's.

There are eleven separate Voyager I & II recordings of the outer planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Part of the “Primordial Sounds” Series, these recordings cause a deep response of relaxation and subconscious release. You may well have an "astounding" experience in listening to the "Real Music of The Spheres”...

It's like -- A Deep Call From Home...
