No dude, politics IS about getting the best you can in a bad situation.

If we could just vote for ideals then, well, (Godwin forbid) we'd have Hitler.

Sorry, tKl, but anyone who says "dude" has lost the argument.

And now, a word from Barack Opium's sponsors:

Image

Like Nader, McKinney, Vidal and the Jersey Girls, Dennis Kucinich failed the audition for that movie.

And it's the only show in town. Or so we're told.

Anyone who can smile and shake hands with that war-criminal demonstrates thereby that he is complicit in his war-crimes. Seriously.

"Change We Can Believe In"? Yeah, right. Opium induces changes we can believe in. Makes you feel reeeeeealy good, for a while.

Meanwhile, someone else is taking care of business in the real world.

I'm not American, tKl, and I have no interest in political power, so: no.

Why not "vote" for this instead?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stop voting.

Boycott voting.

Say why you're boycotting voting.

Get other people to boycott voting.

Tell the fucking Democratic Party why you're boycotting voting.

Vandalise every open space in sight with "IMPEACH BUSH NOW" graffitti.

When that doesn't work (and it won't, but it'll prepare the ground), then organise civil disobedience, sit-down strikes, media-disruption events, TV-smashings in public places, etc.

Get arrested, if necessary, before getting arrested means vanishing without trace.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry, but it's not going to be any easier than that. It's either that or Opium You Can Believe In, for you and your family, until the wolf appears at the door.

Yup. That's where serious political debate begins. The dooding has to stop.

Ask Mark Twain, an un-bipartisan American who was not known for his politeness, and who was never photographed shaking hands with the President.

obama

I am not saying Obama is the real deal. I wish he was but I seriously doubt he is unfortunately......but...I disagree with this one

Anyone who can smile and shake hands with that war-criminal demonstrates thereby that he is complicit in his war-crimes. Seriously.

Smiling in the face of a dangerous enemy and gaining his trust is one of the oldest warfare tactics in the book. You usually have to gain a psychopaths trust before you can take him out of the game if he is powerful.

That's bullshit, vigilant. Utter bullshit. Obviously. Undeniably. Ridiculously.

Feel free to quote me on that when the wolf's at your own personal door. By that time, you will have Change You Can Believe In, courtesy of Barack 'Smiler' Opium and Nancy 'Bipartisan' Pelosi (personal family fortune: $25,000,000, most of it in "investments").

hi mac.

"Get arrested, if necessary, before getting arrested means vanishing without trace."

umm, isn't it a little late on this one for a lot of dudes.............? guantanamo and whatnot.

we've got the bigger of evils voting-wise the great bulk of the last 40 years, and it hasn't seemed to precipitate any crisis in the system leading towards progressive action or opinion.

You know, luna, I live in Germany, and I've read a little history. There are such thing as windows of opportunity, and they tend to close.

You have nothing to worry about at the moment unless you are Muslim or a criminally dark shade of brown.
