Well, you finally got your wish over on DU! Don't know how you can breath, though, with your panties wadded up so!

The PM I received from the mods a few weeks ago stated since I was staying within my core expertise (which was slamming you conspiricy nuts so well) and not slamming Dems, they were going to let me stay, as long as I minded my p's and q's. I minded them, but I guess you whined too much! Squeaky wheel and all that, I suppose.

The only sucky thing is that I had just contributed to DU! After I contributed, I sent them a PM stating that one good display of trust deserved another! Guess they were happy to get my $35 before they cut me loose! Typical Dems - take your money THEN throw you under the bus.

It was a fun while it lasted, which was indeed far longer than I had thought it would (over 4 years). With the exception of a handful of honorable people there, DU does remain the apex of the Lunatic Left - with you and most others as capstones!

We'll chat again - count on it! You'll never know if the next newbie over there (or here) is me!!!!!

Just to set the record straight I never asked or called for him to be banned at DU. And I was not the one that outed him, it was his friend bolo at DU that did us all the favor, as you can tell by reading the above links.

I have some suspicions about the others, but as far as I can tell Bolofoffin is simply a fundamentalist Christian loser suffering from a rather severe mental illness. This came up during our last dust up many months ago. Someone posted some information about bolo's "career" which had been circulating on DU for some time. He doesn't hide his "real" identity as semi-employed actor, Joseph Nobles, and now "live voice recorder" or some such shit which really means "typist."

At the time, however, someone posted a bit about his education. He dropped out of a liberal arts school in some kind of religious delusion and went to bible college and bible grad school. That's the extent of his "expertise." Then someone else found a circa 1998 web page he had put together in which he explains that one of his goals is to reconcile being gay with some sort of fundie reading of the bible. In the bio section, he talks about his horrific personal life and how it brought him to the brink of suicide.

The irony is that around the time his suicidal "bio" surfaced, and certain other DUers and I were pm'ing each other saying, wow, this guy is very, very ill and perhaps too mentally fragile to engage with any more, the mods imposed a mutual ignore on bolo and I. But given his fragile mental status, I wouldn't have engaged with him anymore anyway. Also ironic is that despite the mutual ignore requirement imposed on both of us, he frequently responds to my threads, which for the most part the mods have been fair minded enough to delete in accordance with the requirement they imposed on us. That makes me think that in addition to his other psychological illnesses, educational deficits and cognitive deficiencies, bolo has some kind of narcisistic, exhibitionist, personality disorder, because it seems that his not getting attention is more painful to him than getting negative attention.

If I were some alphabet agency hiring forum disrupters, I wouldn't give my "character" an easy to discover back story that pretty much discredits every word that character writes.

So I think bolo is not a paid disrupter; instead, bolo is so omnipresent because he is really that ill.

Thanks for that, Hamden. A couple of years ago, I did read something about bolo being this J. Nobles character, but I had forgotten it completely. And I knew nothing about his life.

So, in the last few days, we (or at least I) learn that:

- boloboffin is mentally ill and seriously obsessed with the Bible and his own tortured sexuality; and yet the poor guy is tolerated, encouraged and exploited for years by that utter bastard Skinner, as long as he keeps giving hell to the "truthers" (nearly all of whom are Democrats).

- Sweet Pea is a card-carrying military-Republican "far-right reactionary" who openly hates, despises and works against DU's stated aims; and who was told by DU that that was just fine and dandy, as long as he kept giving hell to the "truthers" (nearly all of whom are Democrats).

So now what about LARED, vincent-vega-lives, hack89 and all the rest of those industrial-scale "debunkers" -- i.e. tireless timewasters -- I'm too lazy to go and look up at DU? If they and Skinner and Lithos are not CIA, then they are behaving exactly like CIA, which boils down to exactly the same result.

And surely they owe everyone a fucking explanation, at long last? Because this is not the behaviour of honest men. And it's public knowledge now.

- Could you PM them, politely, without risking a tombstoning? And tell us what they say, if anything?

The most striking thing, in addition to the horrific biographical details, is the illogical, doctrinaire, inconsistent reasoning -- right out of his "work" on DU's dungeon. This is the reasoning of a fundamentalist. It starts out with the presumption of "I'm right" and proceeds from there. No amount of illogical or inconsistent thought in his own writing seems recognizable to him in either context.

Second, it is very useful to lurk in the mental illness forum of du and other forums related to mental illnesses. It's kind of shocking how many of the most vociferous DUers in some forums admit to pretty severe levels of dysfunction in those forums.

I think what's going on is simply that crazy people have a tendency to try to take over forums -- kind of to control an artificial environment when their real environments are out of control. I don't think that the admins really know or care -- the squeakiest wheel gets the most grease and if the crazies take over a particular forum and whine, complain and alert, from the mod's perspective, which just sees a particular forum as an ambiguous turing machine with no "real" personality characteristics attached to the online personalities, the crazies become the "majority."

You'd be surprised how many people with serious problems have managed to do this.
