Reopen Probe, Wallace Asks
Date: June 29, 1993

MONTGOMERY, AL -- Former Governor George C. Wallace asked President Clinton to reopen the federal investigation into the assassination attempt 21 years ago that crippled Wallace and ended his presidential aspirations. Wallace, 73, said he does not believe Arthur Bremer, the man who shot him, was acting alone. The former governor said he had a letter faxed to Clinton on Saturday, asking the president to direct the FBI to reopen the investigation. White House spokeswoman Lavora Barnes said yesterday that Clinton received the letter and "is taking it under advisement."

Interesting. What's the source of this excerpt?

I could search, I suppose.

If Wallace was still alive, he'd have something to talk about with John McCain who merely got character assassinated in the primaries.
