I'm burnin' down.

Maybe 'cause I listened to that Motorhead song about seven times so far cranked up full blast. I think it's time for number eight. N-n-n-n-n-na-now.

Coulda sworn I already posted this. But I don't seem to have.

My President Is Black -- Young Jeezy, featuring Nas

It's just a guess, but I think Jeezy might subscribe to the no-difference-so-why-vote school of thought.

"Left In The Dark" - Barbra Streisand

just when you think this video can't get any crazier, "wtf? it's Kris Kristopherson!"
also, this video is so 80's because if you look closely, Babs is smoking and 'doing Coke!

A few inarguable truths: There are no bad recordings of "Telstar," no better recordings of any song than the Tornadoes version of "Telstar," no good videos of the Tornadoes version of "Telstar" on YouTube, and no stranger or more creepy video on the whole fucking internet than the Claud-LeLouch-directed Scopitone for "Robot," which who even knew existed? It's a little scary. More than a little, frankly. No wonder he was able to drive practically all the way across Paris in eight minutes. Obviously, those things were chasing him.

Non ce n'est pas un reve -- Francoise Hardy

Sexy Robot -- The She Creatures

Telstar -- The Tornadoes

Robot -- The Tornadoes

Dancing Machine -- Jackson 5

Dance, Dance, Dance -- The Casualeers

Sleep Walk -- The Shadows

Telstar -- The Shadows

What Shall I Do? -- Frankie & The Classicals

Oh. My. God. Speaking of inarguable truths.

But why hide your light under a bushel, IanEye. I'd say that video is so '80s because if you look closely you realize it's the template for every single video ever made during the '80s.

The major-label mafia probably had it sitting around waiting for some artist out of it enough that they could foist it off on him or her since back in the day when cable meant free local access programming. It was a plot all along, I'm telling you. A plot!

I'm listening to Tom Waits' "Brawlers" disc from Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards.

And completely off topic, because I feel a need to rant briefly but I don't want to muddle general discussion, I'm trying to figure out how to respond to the following comment rationally rather than insultingly. I can't tell yet if Tom is helping.

I can take the lead character names (or other keywords) in a movie or television show and reverse-engineer them to find the scandal they were meant to inoculate us against.
"When I'm done ranting about elite power that rules the planet under a totalitarian government that uses the media in order to keep people stupid, my throat gets parched. That's why I drink Orange Drink!"
