Putin saves journalists from tiger: report

MOSCOW (AFP) — You've seen Vladimir Putin the bomber pilot, judo expert and fisherman -- but tiger tamer?

Russian media, known for hero-worshipping the prime minister and former president, reported Monday that Putin fired a tranquilizer dart at a tiger that got loose Sunday during a photo-op at a wildlife sanctuary.

According to Interfax news agency, a camera crew from state TV channel Vesti realised the five-year-old tiger had become untied, whereupon Putin leapt into action.

"Thanks to the agile and timely action the tiger was immobilised," Interfax said.

Photos released by state news agency RIA Novosti showed Putin next to a sleeping tiger and holding a gun used to fire tranquiliser darts.

Interfax said Putin kissed the big cat and said "goodbye."

He was visiting the Ussuriisky Nature Reserve in the far east of Russia to see how conservation experts track and study tigers.

The state media carefully honed Putin's tough-guy image during his eight-year presidency, notably in a photo session last year where the diminutive, fitness-mad leader posed bare-chested with fishing rods and rifles.

So, he kissed the tiger? I recall another unusual display of Putin's affection.

Putin's 'kitten' kiss

July 7, 2006 - 3:34PM

Russian President Vladimir Putin today said his decision to stop a small boy as he walked through the Kremlin and kiss his stomach was prompted by a desire to "touch him like a kitten".

The five-year-old boy, identified as Nikita Konkin by the press, was clearly stunned by the kiss and speculation over Putin's motivation has run wild in the week since it happened.

Curious internet users propelled the issue to the top of a list of questions put to Putin in an interactive webcast.

"People came up and I began talking to them, among them this little boy. He seemed to me very independent, sure of himself and, at the same time, defenceless so to speak: an innocent boy and a very nice little boy," Putin told the webcast.

"I tell you honestly, I just wanted to touch him like a kitten and that desire of mine ended in that act."

The Izvestia daily, which tracked down Nikita, discovered that he had refused to wash after that kiss.

"I just liked him and he liked me very much. I want to be president myself," the five-year-old told the paper.

Ive heard rumours that Putin was/is a pedophile, and that would have been the reason he never served KGB abroad - only in domestic service. Was claimed that the first thing Putin did upon reaching presidency was purge those old KGB files on him..

Kremlin Critic Shot in Ingushetia

The owner of an internet site critical of the Russian authorities in the volatile region of Ingushetia has been shot dead in police custody.

Magomed Yevloyev, owner of the ingushetiya.ru site, was a vocal critic of the region’s administration.

The Russian prosecutor’s office said an investigation into the death had been launched, Russia media report.

A post on Yevloyev’s site says he was detained by police after landing at the airport of the main town, Nazran.

The website owner was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.

Reports quoting local police said Yevloyev had tried to seize a policeman’s gun when he was being led to a vehicle. A shot was fired and Yevloyev was injured in the head.

Right.

Litvinenko wrote this four months before his poisoning:

The Kremlin Pedophile

By Alexander Litvinenko

A few days ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin walked from the Big Kremlin Palace to his Residence. At one of the Kremlin squares, the president stopped to chat with the tourists. Among them was a boy aged 4 or 5.

'What is your name?' Putin asked.

'Nikita,' the boy replied.

Putin kneed, lifted the boy's T-shirt and kissed his stomach.

The world public is shocked. Nobody can understand why the Russian president did such a strange thing as kissing the stomach of an unfamiliar small boy.

The explanation may be found if we look carefully at the so-called "blank spots" in Putin's biography.

After graduating from the Andropov Institute, which prepares officers for the KGB intelligence service, Putin was not accepted into the foreign intelligence. Instead, he was sent to a junior position in KGB Leningrad Directorate. This was a very unusual twist for a career of an Andropov Institute's graduate with fluent German. Why did that happen with Putin?

Because, shortly before his graduation, his bosses learned that Putin was a pedophile. So say some people who knew Putin as a student at the Institute.

The Institute officials feared to report this to their own superiors, which would cause an unpleasant investigation. They decided it was easier just to avoid sending Putin abroad under some pretext. Such a solution is not unusual for the secret services.

Many years later, when Putin became the FSB director and was preparing for presidency, he began to seek and destroy any compromising materials collected against him by the secret services over earlier years. It was not difficult, provided he himself was the FSB director. Among other things, Putin found videotapes in the FSB Internal Security Directorate, which showed him making sex with some underage boys.

Interestingly, the video was recorded in the same conspiratorial flat in Polyanka Street in Moscow where Russian Prosecutor-General Yuri Skuratov was secretly video-taped with two prostitutes. Later, in the famous scandal, Putin (on Roman Abramovich's instructions) blackmailed Skuratov with these tapes and tried to persuade the Prosecutor-General to resign. In that conversation, Putin mentioned to Skuratov that he himself was also secretly video-taped making sex at the same bed. (But of course, he did not tell it was pedophilia rather than normal sex.) Later, Skuratov wrote about this in his book Variant Drakona (p.p. 153-154).

No shocker if Putin's a pedophile.

Another favorite past time of his is staged false flag terrorism:

gosh, this must mean he's just as bad as Bush. Actually, Bush hasn't been indicted for pedophilia, so he must be worse. Hopefully McCain or Obama will put this tyrant dictator pedophile in his place fast.

BTW ever heard of 'hit pieces' before?

Personally, I could care less if he's a mass murderer, as long as he continues to give the US the finger and virtually guarantee no war w/ Iran. The Russians are many things, perhaps, but I'm pretty sure they're not the spoiled bullies/cowards that the US--that has rarely truly suffered in a war--is. They're also not the ones with all the energy dependence.

Hit piece? Pedophilia, yes, Litvinenkos piece may well be a hit piece, even more so now that Litvinenko is dead. The way he was killed makes me think it was not Putin who killed him. Come on, polonium?? How much more indiscreet can you get?

But Putin and the apartment building bombs..Thats a pure freakin no-brainer. Come on, he started droppin bombs the instant it became clear that the guys the milis had arrested for placing the last bomb, were FSB. That VERY AFTERNOON, bombs started falling on Groznyi.

Take no sides! Theyre all the same...This is not a time for any binary sidepicking anymore, goddamnit! I dont want to pick sides in a fight where everyone is either a child molester, liar, war criminal, plain old drug dealer, or a weapons merchant. Or something far worse. No way, its just not even a choice.

No, theyre not spoiled, and yes, they know war. So do the people who live in my country - they know war with Russia, century after century. Russians raped, robbed and pillaged around here already 500 years back. Been doin it since, last time 60 years ago. Theyre just as much scumbags as any empire.

But yes, I still like them giving US the finger. As long as its doesnt lead to more streakin missiles over my head.

"Jeb Bush:
"The truth is useless. You have to understand this right now. You
can't deposit the truth in a bank. You can't buy groceries with the
truth. You can't pay rent with the truth. The truth is a useless
commodity that will hang around your neck like an albatross all the
way to the homeless shelter. And if you think that the million or so
people in this country that are really interested in the truth about
their government can support people who would tell them the truth, you
got another thing coming. Because the million or so people in this
country that are truly interested in the truth don't have any money."
