But they won. That was 1963, and they all got away with it. Nothing will ever happen to bring the men responsible to justice.

I just don't get why they'd be all obsessive over covering their tracks, Hugh. They've pulled of 10,000 crimes since then and gotten away with those, too.

I realize Nixon was all paranoid about "that bay of pigs thing" but he's also fucking dead.

.....

But they didn't get away with it.

JFK is the crime that permanently opened American eyes to the danger of the National inSecurity State of professional criminals and their psyops media get-away car.

Yes, it is taking too damn long for the cultural pay-off of awareness. But we are catching up.

Shattering illusions and creating vigilant critical thinking is priceless.
We will always have Dealey Plaza to light our way in dark times.

We should have a national holiday for Penn Jones, Mark Lane, and Lee Harvey Oswald.
Maybe add them to Martin Luther King day observances and really make that day a day of education, not just commemoration.

I'm a little late to this thread, but the story in the original post has to be about the worst bullshit I ever read in my life. This is supposed to be a "scientific" paper presented to a "scientific" conference on cardiology, and it is based on nothing but NEWSPAPER ACCOUNTS, and on top of that, it is based on only SIXTY CASES! What the holy fuck! (Seriously, you can't do an epidemiological study of any kind with 60 cases, that's ridiculous.)

I've been arrested quite a few times when young. I've had fistfights with active duty cops on two occasions. I've been clubbed down to my knees, and I've knocked a big Irish cop down to his knees with blood coming out of his nose. For what it's worth. But despite all that, I actually have managed to talk myself out of getting put in jail every time. My brother wasn't so eloquent.

My 17 year old younger brother was murdered by police in New Jersey soon after being arrested for drunk driving. After years of incredible struggle and bullshit and police perjury, we got a state Supreme Court decision upholding our point of view. I'm sure that the cops would have loved to use this bullshit as another bogus shield.

Cops will kill you. Tasers will kill you. But fear and stress does not kill young men, except for very rare cases of preexisting heart defects.

Otherwise, vast thousands of soldiers would just plain drop dead in fear from the onset of combat, and that doesn't happen. Soldiers get PTSD and all kinds of other crap, but they don't drop dead from fear.

Let me repeat: the original report is obvious and total bullshit.

Also late to the party, but seconded. Coroners have been issuing reports explaining how young men died of heart attacks after beating themselves to to the point of near-death while completely alone and in full-body restraints in a police holding cell since the dawn of time, and everyone knows those reports are bald-faced lies. The police and coroners barely pretend they aren't, typically. Just enough not to incriminate themselves.

There is a timing thing here.

Besides the Nov. 22 anniversary, there are lots of folks getting arrested by the police-state at the GOP convention. So if one of them died, there'd be a cover story pre-emptively in place, for instance.

It was a rhetorical question, but an answer that can't be spelt out too often, so thanks.

Also, I'm glad you wasted bandwidth on me. Because I still believe in the worth of your bandwidth, even if you don't still believe that I merit it.

My apologies for so harsh a word as "wasted" over in that other thread
I also believe in the worth of your bandwith, c2w?, and still look forward to reading you.

My own bandwith is so stretched that I'm frustrated that I can't spend the time in dialogue I used to and the time that these subjects warrant.

Guess that makes me just another Republican now.

"Sudden death after arrest may be new syndrome"

"new syndrome"..yeah, right.

Maybe they're trying out some new drugs, like Versed.

Versed: New Tool In America’s Medical Gulag
By: Kirk James Murphy, M.D.
Saturday July 19, 2008

For at least two years, the Nashville PD have been recklessly endangering citizens by using emergency medical personnel to forcibly inject Versed -- a powerful prescription medication with side effects including agitation and confusion -- into agitated, confused people. This potentially lethal stupidity is what we can expect when people who go to work with guns on their belt decide to play "doctor".

"For almost two years, Metro police have had the option of calling for a needle loaded with a strong sedative to control the most unruly people they encounter on the street."

To compound the dangerous stupid, Versed's side effects include the same behavior the geniuses in Nashville seek to control.

"Reactions such as agitation, involuntary movements, hyperactivity and combativeness have been reported in adult and pediatric patients. Should such reactions occur, caution should be exercised before continuing administration of midazolam."

In addition to making agitated patients more agitated, Versed can (and does) cause respiratory depression. What's respiratory depression - a case of the sighs? Nope - respiratory depression is the fancy doc talk for what happens when the nerve cells in our lizard brain get so sedated they forget to tell us to breathe - and we suffer severe brain damage, or even die. Because, amazingly enough, our brains require oxygen to survive.

article continues here.

Deja Vu! ... Do I know you?

I swear this is an old article. I clearly remember discussing this here within the last two years.
