like this part:

"What we have here are the beginnings of something designed to enable robots to hunt down humans like a pack of dogs. Once the software is perfected we can reasonably anticipate that they will become autonomous and become armed.

We can also expect such systems to be equipped with human detection and tracking devices including sensors which detect human breath and the radio waves associated with a human heart beat. These are technologies already developed."

I saw a video of these robots and they can walk on very uneven terrain and even on ice. Wouldn't want a pack of them chasing me.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather have robots chasing me than men. Robots are notoriously stupid, while men are notoriously cruel.

Packs of robots to hunt down uncooperative humans

This is the kind of crap you and I PAY FOR in the taxes that are taken out of every paycheck—billions and billions of dollars every year to buy "cool" junk like this...

...while millions of our own countrymen remain sick, go homeless, and even sometimes starve.

That grill right there in the front looks like a good spot to place a .308 round or two. I don't know how much those big dog robots cost, but .308's are going for about $.80 a piece right now on bulk orders.

Philip K. Dicks "Second Variety" (if i recall right bejeweled) was spot-motherfucking-on.

And I dont want to imagine what the first REAL AIs will be. Paid for by Pentagon. Evil motherfuckers.

I think if 12 of those started skittered across a deserted parking lot towards you in extreme "detain uncooperative human" mode your .308 and bolo wouldn't look so hot anymore.

Must be battery powered, guess we'll find out if US really does have secret superduper battery technology. I can imagine it walking well on different surfaces, but not pushing thru scrub or crossing watercourses, and stairs would have to slow it down. What i'd really like to do is whack it with a spade.
