That would be quite a sight, I assure you. The last 'fight' I was in was my roommate at the time beating on me, while from a foetal position I laughed at the absurdity of the situation. What can I say, but that I'm a lover not a fighter....

whose? mine?

if so, i suppose i should be forced to admit it. though, as she lurks, i wouldn't want to imply anything unladylike about her. she is always most gentle and well-mannered. save when she is displeased.

scary though. s'why i love her actually. because i'd be afraid not to.

chattel?

i think my libertarianism is misunderstood.

i always thought it was strange that most everyone considers it normal to oppress the liberty of those they claim to love by treating them as possessions who require permission to act on their own initiative. chivalry is only horse-trading with a lot of romantic nonsense attached to it. at least the mongols were honest about it. i'd suggest that nearly all the root causes of human misery can be traced back to these universal assumptions amongst our species. i also prefer openness to more spartan methods. infidelity is something i could care less about, but i do not tolerate dishonesty.
maybe i was born in the wrong century.

That would be quite a sight, I assure you. The last 'fight' I was in was my roommate at the time beating on me, while from a foetal position I laughed at the absurdity of the situation. What can I say, but that I'm a lover not a fighter....

i certainly would not claim to be as devoted to omnipresent ahisma as you seem to be. indeed, i highly doubt i'd have lived this long if i was. however, i have a great deal of respect for those who feel they have the motive, means and opportunity to pull it off routinely and effectively.

personally, i'm not inclined to start physical confrontations and generally seek to avoid them when presented with the opportunity. on the other hand, neither am i inclined to retreat or becoming someones' punching bag or worse someone else's martyr.

that said, while i've fought for many things before, and there are many more i'd fight for if required to do so...a lady's favour has never been on that list.

okay, that was my token serious response for the day.

now i'm off to go troll...

Alwyn, I'll have to get in line. Joe was the first person to make me welcome here, and he's unfailingly kind. (In this case, it's only RIIL, I should mention as well.)
To Joe!

Nothing so crass as the title implies, just wanted to say that I platonically wish Annie Anarchy Aronburg had been the girl who made me mixtapes in high school, thanks to her impeccable (an honor I give nearly noone) taste in music, topping herself always as with this evening's Simply Saucer post. She's got dreamy ears.

Wait, you're married to Joe Hillshoist and this makes you avoid sex with him?

Desire for "Bromance" doesn't make me gay does it? (Not that it matters...) A night of manly cavorting (joints, 'za, Marmot's chile, power drinks for el monstruo, maybe some Aglianico...) with the core chat crew brothers and not so regulars especially, you, OP ED- I too liked you as Homeless Halo. And also, Robert D Reed- Where are you?

Yes, it does make you gay. Sorry.
The real issue is that there is extremely low likelihood that the speculations of the untrained, on a topic almost pathologically riddled by dynamic considerations and feedback effects, will offer anything new.

Bump.

Sorry Col. Quisp but I now have crushes on Maddy and Peregrine.

What can I say, I'm fickle.
