Woah. That is some classy crystal meth you've got there! And people are eating it with dessert spoons now? Ice etiquette has come along way in a short time.

Just an orange juice for me, please, bar lady. Trying to stay off the hard stuff. I've probably posted more here sober in the last two days than in the two years or so previously, and it's enjoyable to mix even without da booze. Might jump off the wagon again later, though. It's a love affair who's month is ever May.

PRO-TIP: My not wholly successful but still quite effective cure for acute and chronic alcoholism consists of long walks in interesting areas (rural, urban, historic - it don't matter, it's just nice to be able to walk for a change) and liberal dosages of Season 1 and 2 of Gilmore Girls. It works a treat. Most of the time.

Just, you know, for in case anybody gets carried away.... Don't want to be a downer or nothing. Cheers!

And Slainte Mhath!

Peregrine, but of course I shall serve you some tea. Hope you are recovering well.

Ahab, those walks must be a real challenge for you!

But seriously better advice I haven't heard in awhile. A whole section of the bar is devoted to generally pleasing non-alcoholic beverages. I think I'll join you this being Sunday. Even though there are no blue laws here, I've gotten into the habit of having a dry one.

I'll have a sidecar.
"O Oysters," said the Carpenter,
"You've had a pleasant run!
Shall we be trotting home again?'
But answer came there none--
And this was scarcely odd, because
They'd eaten every one.

Nothing for me, thanks. Okay, a tap water.

(I've got the big 40-ounce Listerine bottle in my filthy old coat.)
