Ahab, those walks must be a real challenge for you!

Aye, me whalebone prosthesis keeps getting stuck in rabbit holes and drain covers. Can be really annoying if I'm getting chased by PETA activists at the time (real whalebone, y'know).

Mmm, tea... Now that's some good stuff as well.

Project Willow wrote:But seriously better advice I haven't heard in awhile. A whole section of the bar is devoted to generally pleasing non-alcoholic beverages. I think I'll join you this being Sunday. Even though there are no blue laws here, I've gotten into the habit of having a dry one.

Blue laws? Like a "dry county" kind of thing, or just a Sunday observance thing? No way I could cope with either. I'd have to build my own still or something.

@ Norton Ash - LOL at the Listerine. Old-school aftershaves can be good with the right mixer as well, but you have to choose carefully. Some of them become explosive on contact with Dr. Pepper. Keep it under the table as well - don't want to get barred.

Why, Peregrine? You never said nothing wrong.

Tea really is great. I'm a twenty-a-day man myself, usually Tetley's.

I think the caffeine's making you tense, though - try one of Norton or Barra's cocktails, and have a sniff of this industrial adhesive...

That's better, eh?

I know they tend to be a little pricey, but I really like the Mighty Leaf blends. Loverly stuff

Heh, I was in 'the biz' for 20 years, from age 13 to 33. I could tell you stories......just don't eat out, anywhere. Ever. At all.

I will have a Jameson's and a pint of Guiness.

You alright 'Cuda? Feel free to lay it on me. I've cloistered myself behind the bar as well in this safe place, letting the new voices reign, for the most part. It's actually kind of nice.

Here you are then... number 2.

Me too, beeline. Bartending was the best job ever. I'd love to pour yummy drinks for an RI crowd. Then I wouldn't have to ask, as in the past, "where are all the smart guys?".

I can appreciate almost any bebida, but am partial to a glass of wine chosen after discussion of preferences with someone knowledgeable and congenial. That, or an Absinthe Cocktail, heh.

A votre sante!
