I thought it was a fancy means of getting people to give hundreds of dollars to Hoagland for conference tickets, DVDs and books.

yes, it's very similar to a Dollaron Vacuum Suction Beam.

well, it's termed a dollaron suction beam, but it works via the same principal for any of the fundamental currency particles.

Oh I see - it's like if Holly Sampson worked for the Daleks.

Isn't this a photo of her, when her name was Jupiter instead of Holly?

Finnish RI-regular Penguin has gone into spiral orbit around a hyperdimensional Scandinavian black hole, probably under the influence of illegal drugs.

HTH.

That explains everything. Image

Happy to help, ma'am. *tips stetson* If you need any assistance replacing a tyre on your car or removing a spider from your bath, don't you hesitate to - *ducks*

I stole the joke from brainpanhandler & barracuda anyway...

Cross-posting this from the LHC thread:

This is a frame cap from Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning. Hmm, looks damn familiar, eh?

Very synchromystic. The Sun called it "Star-Gate". Yikes.

However, here's what looks to me like the best possible explanation so far.

Jesus Christ, RI has now given me my two biggest laughs of the day. Three, if you count the penguin with the rocket mounted on his back.

The other was in the Tiger Woods thread.

And here I was having such a shitty day.

March 2008:

British astronomers are to broadcast the first adverts to aliens.

For broadcasting the advert into space, encoded as ones and zeros that clever aliens should be able to figure out, Doritos will make an undisclosed donation to astronomers and academics from Leicester University and Eiscat (The European Incoherent SCATter Scientific Association).

The space-bound ad will broadcast from a 500MHz Ultra High Frequency Radar from the EISCAT Space Centre in Svalbard, Norway, used to study the atmosphere and northern lights, which has escaped a savage round of cuts because its five year renewal contract has been signed.

More Norway spiral footage:

Light from / on the ground.. ! The interesting part starts at 3:04 - so you have to watch a few other video clips first.. but if you haven't seen it it's intriguing:

this is starting to seem more and more like viral marketing what with the consistent filming angles, etc.

I've kinda had that sneaking suspicion from the get go, but I am definitely finding the whole thing very fascinating.

I found this one quite detailed & the camera wasn't bouncing around nearly as much. Fascinating stuff indeed.

I agree one of the photos looks 'shopped (I think we all know which one), but that is pure unsubstantiated speculation. I'm inclined to believe a missle for now, but FYI, in regard to the HAARP talk, I happened upon a show Jesse Ventura just did on HAARP this week. Spooky music and bad acting aside, strange thing that is. Is there anything at all in regard to electricity and inventions that Tesla DOES NOT have posthumous claim to?

Mac & Cuda, lmao...
Penguin always seems such a cheery, friendly fellow too.
