c2w? can too shut up, and when she does I'm often disappointed that she didn't have more to say. Her reluctance to make reductive pronouncements without showing how she arrived at them, her ability to consider a problem from many angles while still showing patience and respect for those who don't or can't, and her willingness always to do the hard work of reviewing a subject thoroughly and digging up the relevant information for us are all admirable. Even more admirable are the goodness and humanity of the fine mind that shines through in most of her comments here. Not that she's a saint. She's also very good at undressing idiocy with the subtlest in snark, which is entertaining for the way it usually goes over the head of its targets, although that shouldn't be called admirable. She may be a touch too reluctant to punch out unredeemable idiocy, instead of continuing to offer therapy far longer than the idiocy merits. The offer is almost never appreciated. In my own thinking, I try to meet the standards she sets for diligence, circumspection and logic. She's a gift.

This concludes my three paragraph rendering of the single sentence, "You're wrong, c2w? is great."

Reading my posts isn't compulsory, and neither is responding to them. So don't fucking slip a bad jacket onto my shoulders as it it were.

I mean, I hate that Lord of the Flies shit, personally. But not just personally. If people don't have enough self-respect to candidly and openly insult others by addressing whatever real and unconcealed grievances they got to the object of their discontent by name, they sure as hell don't have the fortitude to get anywhere in the politics of popular dissent. So speak your minds freely. Nobody wins when you don't.

If that is about me, the "be especially wary" and "Fucking evil" parts are wrong.

And that's not a complaint, btw. What with having full and special access to my own motivations and moral character that others don't and can't, I'm just kind of naturally much too secure in the non-evilness of my identity either to be wounded by any misapprehension of it, or to pretend that I am. I'm just flatly stating that if that is a reference to me, the belief that I'm evil is mistaken. Because I'm in a position to know that beyond all reasonable doubt, obviously.

Because there absolutely was a stretch of a couple of months ago when I regularly brought threads with which various posters were happily entertaining themselves to a permanent stand-still by pointing out some egregious and probably propagandistic factual flaws in the material offered up in the OP.

But I felt bad about being such a buzz-kill all the time, so I stopped doing it unless letting the error stand was realistically such a serious a potential risk to the health and well-being of others that it would have been irresponsible not to challenge it.

I mean, I don't even call out posters I know beyond doubt to be sock-puppets and/or running buddies of the person/people to whom I've never done a single damn thing who've been harassing -- not to say stalking -- me for over two fucking years, most of the time.

I'm not a threat to anyone, in short.

So if you feel otherwise, please relax. It's not good for you to get all worked up over nothing. Life is just too short. And whoever you are, you deserve to be treated better than that by everyone. Including yourself.
