Mike Krieger On Intensifying Police State Measures And Internet Demonization

Police State Measures Intensify as well as Internet Demonization

Two very important articles have come out in the last couple of days that you must take the time to read thoroughly. The first is from the Washington Post and is entitled: “Monitoring America.” It is a lengthy article worth your time since it shows in no uncertain terms how the U.S. government has now officially started to turn war on terror technology and military weaponry on American citizens domestically. Stuff that had formerly only been “used in Iraq or Afghanistan” is now being turned on Americans and this newspaper reports it in a matter of fact manner. It also describes how anyone can just say that they think a fellow citizen is acting suspiciously and then all of a sudden the government’s “fusion centers” start snooping on you and a file remains “open” for five years. For nothing more than someone saying they thought you were acting suspiciously. Welcome to East Germany. This is where tax dollars are going, that and to pay bankster bonuses. Link is below.

http://projects.washingtonpost.com/top- ... id=topnews

Second article also encompasses and interview with Attorney General Eric Holder. In it he clearly explains that enemy number one is the domestic America citizen and that is where the war on terror is now focused. This is exactly as I predicted earlier this year. That the “war on terror” would be soon revered onto average everyday citizens. Ok, so how about this one. In the interview, Holder talks about Anwar al-Awlaki and talks about how this guy is enemy number 1 now and as dangerous as Bin Laden. Well, interesting because this guy was invited to DINE AT THE PENTAGON after 9/11. This is a fact. It was reported by all the mainstream news sources. See these links on it….

Anwar al-Awlaki - the radical spiritual leader linked to several 9/11 attackers, the Fort Hood shooting, and the attempted Christmas Day bombing of an airliner - was a guest at the Pentagon in the months after 9/11, a Pentagon official confirmed to CBS News.

Awlaki was invited as "...part of an informal outreach program" in which officials sought contact "...with leading members of the Muslim community," the official said. At that time, Awlaki was widely viewed as a "moderate" imam at a mosque in Northern Virginia.

This is what Holder said today about him: "He's an extremely dangerous man. He has shown a desire to harm the United States, a desire to strike the homeland of the United States," Holder said. "He is a person who -- as an American citizen -- is familiar with this country and he brings a dimension, because of that American familiarity, that others do not."

CBS reports

MSNBC reports

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39768584/ns ... -security/

Fox News Reports

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/10/20/al ... on-months/

So our government is so trustworthy on intelligence that we had the most dangerous terrorist in the world over for dinner at the Pentagon! So either we are really retarded beyond belief or the whole “WAR ON TERROR” is a total SHAM to place in the police state. More on the interview with Holder, he is consistently demonizing the internet with statements like.

“"The ability to go into your basement, turn on your computer, find a site that has this kind of hatred spewed ... they have an ability to take somebody who is perhaps just interested, perhaps just on the edge, and take them over to the other side," he said.”

Full article here: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/attorney ... 727&page=1

This is all good news and bad news. The good news is that the global plantation owners would not be moving so aggressively unless they were losing the info war. Clearly they are, which is why they are freaking out. The next thing that is likely to happen is a false flag attack where the “attacker” ends up being a libertarian with a Ron Paul sticker. That way they can move from Al Awlaki to the folks they are really afraid of: Good caring and armed American people that still have the capacity to think rationally.

This one is a bad read here. They are not playing. When they get this stuff fully tied into and integrated with data mining capability this will be a potent deal. I cannot imagine exactly where all this will end up. People behind on taxes, fines, web sites they read, the possibilites are limitless. Getting out on the road may become a tedious situation for a lot of people eventually.

On a recent night in Memphis, a patrol car rolled slowly through a parking lot in a run-down section of town. The military-grade infrared camera on its hood moved robotically from left to right, snapping digital images of one license plate after another and analyzing each almost instantly.

Suddenly, a red light flashed on the car's screen along with the word "warrant."

"Got a live one! Let's do it," an officer called out.

My take on this mainstreaming a whole new, improved, super-sized infrastructure and arsenal of high-tech military surveillance and information-gathering/processing technology and sweeping police-state powers is that it has infinitely greater potential for being abused and causing far greater harm than the relatively modest threat posed by 'terrorism'. The modern Police State with its rightwing military-industrial complex roots actively encourages and rewards those who exploit the system's potential, esp. re: the reward/benefits/reinvestment/payback feedback loop -- as we see in how the war industry facilitates ever-greater, more extensive exploitable connections in a great range of commercial/financial activities, businesses and sundry fields, from technology, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, organized crime rackets, banking, weapons, communications, security services, to biology, weapons manufacture/merchandizing, smuggling and protection rackets, blackmail, contracting services, bribery, kickbacks, Wall Street ventures and chemical engineering.

Accessing, controlling and exploiting priveleged information may well become a 'new' growth industry for ruthless 'security' analysts and managers -- taking off from and going even further than the CIA model of operating lucrative for-profit off-the-public-books niche-market businesses catering specialized services and products to exclusive military/security/spook corporate clients under top-secret or classified compartmentalization.

The potential for blackmail, theft, intimidation or other exploitation will undoubtedly be taken advantage of, as the intel agents of the largely unregulated, semi-privatized security state find novel ways to mine a vast wealth of private information for personal advantage -- especially when it can conveniently satisfy the flexible rationale of 'protecting' the nation and securing the intangible needs of almost-anything-goes 'National Security'.

Imagine an extensive organized crime franchise having millions of paid-or-strongarmed informants supplemented by a vast electronic snooping network having virutally unlimited search-and-seizure powers and interrogation authority, excused from prosecution for any but the most egregious, sloppy abuses, peeking into the most secret public and private corners of people's personal lives, financial affairs and businesses.

This would render ours a society defined by the psychological control-and-surveillance infrastructure set-up to contain it, an even starker, more insidious version of 1984 Big Brother government than we have yet imagined, subject to the capricious whims and foibles of corrupt bureaucracies and tyranical outrages, ruthless barbarism and self-absorbed vanities that predatory capitalism invariably tends to reward and favor.

East Germany's Stasi, Saddam's Republican Guard and the Shah of Iran's US-trained SAVAK would just become Boy Scout pikers next to the monsters such a Security State on-steroids would breed under the pretext of keeping us 'safe'.

What would actually be protected of-course would be the perks and priveleges of the corporate-security state's unelected elites, enabled by a legion of 'patriotic' security overseers milking the feudal system for their reward.

I don't see any real obstacles to prevent this version from becoming reality, esp. considering how corrupt and rotton so much of the security state's 'leadership' is, selling-out as they have to the highest bidder or beholden to an extreme ideology (or threatened -- much the same thing).

"Perhaps American freedom needs a suicide watch."

Sometimes I'm an optimistic fatalist. Sometimes its the other way around.

Bruce, I got a real kick out of that video, even as my hope for signs of satire diminished by the refrain. Cute and hilarious as it looks, sadly it's no joke; I looked at the user's YouTube info...

I "flagged" it for "hate speech" but probably should have added "child abuse."

Not criticizing you for posting it---on the surface, it's cute as hell.

I understand your reservations Elvis, but I posted it BECAUSE it's no joke. I was just trying to point out that this is the attitude that we're up against. Most people are subservient to "authority," to their own detriment, and they don't even really understand why. The fascification of the U.S. is going swimmingly for our jack booted leaders, and kooky aryan/Christian stuff aside, the attitude expressed in this video helps to explain why.

Understood, Bruce, thanks. I was just blown away by the "Only White, Aryan Children were used in the production of this video" bit and thought I'd point it out. Craziness!

Someone should make a 'response' video, get some little kids and electric guitars together and produce a song, "Inspect and Abate Authority!"

.
That's Breed Ministries (a very reassuring name) of Santa Barbara, California. I think the owners of the ministry and the parents of those kids have already been trolled to hell and back, on Youtube at least, by 4chan types and a few SomethingAwful-ites. Goons, I mean.

A funny response video would be great, though. They've only got one subscriber. They didn't even subscribe to themselves.

:tear

Ah, wait... that video is part of the 4chan/goon trolling, I think. They've re-uploaded the original and added the bits about "Aryan children only", etc.

Breed Ministries may be nuts, but I don't think they're quite that bad. Or they're bad in a different way.

The scary part is that all we need is the economy to continue getting worse and then have some 'savior' show up and organize the jack booted thugs and we have the 4th Reich. We are so close now that I don't know if I will be able to ex-pat before it explodes! I saw a post somewhere, maybe here, that had an 80 year old German man getting the hell out of the USA (this was a 2-3 years ago but it stuck with me!) because he saw it going the way of the Wiemar Republic. He was moving back to Germany! I have about a years worth of work to do before I can move and I don't know if it will be too late or not! Worse comes to worse I could liquidate everything I have and leave the country with about 35K which is not very much, but one can live like a pauper in Uruguay for $500 US a month, so $35K would get me a few years. I'm not half joking! I am worried!

Happy Holidays!

That says it pretty well. Many societies are largely defined by the infrastructure set up to control them. This one will have a technological component that will make escape from scrutiny a near impossibility.

The location, history, and or activity of all of these can be mined and or bugged >Cars, phones, transactions, web presence, bugged home appliances, bugged automobiles, cctv cameras, watches, clothes, etc...

The cottage industry component you mentioned is disturbing too. A growth industry designed to exploit it, encouraged to do so, free of culpability, will most likely become a nightmare beyond comprehension.

This rather pernicious piece of social engineering smacked me in the gob recently:

NCIS: LA Undercover Ops
It's a "game" being run by CBS and Facebook capitalizing on the popularity of police procedural programming (puh-puh-puh-puhllleeeeaaazzzee) that allows couch surfing schlubs to join the ranks of junior G-Men, at least in their minds. Some of the copy from the splash page:
"The Social Game of Investigation, Undercover, and Action!"

"Recruit your friends to join your NCIS team"

The video commercials are even worse, with explicit encouragement for mouth breathers to "collect evidence" and "investigate" suspicious happenings. While the internet can be used as a means of free expression and information exchange, it's also capable of becoming another piece of the control mechanism.

I guess part of what is bugging me about this one is how in-your-face they are about the Orwellian/authoritarian aspects of what modern culture is becoming. Snitching and being an informant as new forms of entertainment.

It's like being dick-slapped by Godwin's Law.

Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.
