The astrological phenomenon suggested by the VP above is called among other things... a supermoon.

http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2 ... l-disaster

According to the USGS, "Biggest Full Moon in 19 Years Almost Certainly Won't Cause a Huge Natural Disaster".

Past supermoons have coincided with natural disasters--the Indonesian earthquake in 2005, Australian flooding in 1954--but scientists note that those are unrelated, more likely than not. Says John Bellini, a geophysicist at the U.S. Geological Survey: "A lot of studies have been done on this kind of thing by USGS scientists and others. They haven't found anything significant at all.

It is said if the Moon's orbit is aligned with the Earth just right...
in the past.. this has and in the future... will result in causing one or more massive earthquakes.

And it just so happens this coming March 11, 2011 is going to be one of these times
one of those orbits between the Moon and Earth take place.

And, one rumor... already has it that a
California group of geologists are asking their cohorts not to taking any chances..
and - recommend that any
of their cohorts that are going to be caught in what might be called - the back country...
a few days before or after the date of March 11, 2011, be sure to have at least
three months of needed supplies with them.

That doesn't mean California is the place where a major Earthquake takes place on this date.
The most remembered event when this type of orbit took
place was in the middle of the Indian Ocean when a 9.2 earthquake hit December 26. 2004.
And, well over a quarter of a MILLION died caused by the terrible tsunami from the earthquake.

Now... that you're aware of the possible chances???????
Caution wise... will you take any special particular steps to prepare ahead of time...
In the event there could be massive earthquake in and or around your area?
Is there any advise you can share with others?

With a warning...

I suggest... just because Japan presently seems to be
the only real victim of a serious earthquake... at this time.. (today)...
I recommend you and anyone else living on the West Coast keep paying attention
to any alerts coming your way...
I have a bad feeling until March 19th passes that humanity hasn't seen the last of
these colossal catastrophic earthquakes making their present known.
I sure hope I'm wrong... I do... but... I wouldn't bet on it!

Interesting, but the post has been edited post quake....and the vague astronomical/astrological references he makes really need to be elicited. The quake in Japan DOES have some classic 'quake markers'. But the astronomical comparisons between the Indonesia quake and the Japan quake are not similar.

It seems the comparison to the Indonesia earthquake re: the supermoon was made not by the predictor but by the popsci website, which was downplaying the significance of the astronomical event, such as it was. Strictly speaking, the predictor didn't actually say that it was the supermoon. Maybe he had something more subtle in mind. Whatever.

The supermoon is not until the 20th. The supermoon happens approximately every 18.6 years. When I subtracted 18.6 years from 2011, give or take a couple of months, I got the date of the Landers quake in Ca. The degree of the Landers moon was 9 Gemini, and it was separated from the moon's south node (28 Gemini) by approximately 21 degrees. The supermoon degree of the Japan quake was 0 gemini, separated from the south node by 27 degrees. We can count the 'supermoon' to 0 cancer...so we are still a few days shy.

Explosion at Japan's quake-hit nuclear plant - media

By Chris Meyers and Kim Kyung-hoon

FUKUSHIMA, Japan, March 12 (Reuters) - An explosion blew the
roof off an unstable reactor north of Tokyo on Saturday,
Japanese media said, raising fears of a disastrous meltdown at a
nuclear plant damaged in the massive earthquake that hit Japan.
-snip-

Jiji news agency said there had been an explosion at the
stricken 40-year-old Daichi 1 reactor and TV footage showed
vapour rising from the plant, which lies 240 km (150 miles)
north of Tokyo.
-snip-

NHK television and Jiji said the outer structure of the
building that houses the reactor appeared to have blown off,
which could suggest the containment building had already been
breached.
-snip-

Italy's National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology
said the earth's axis had shifted 25 cm as a result of the quake
and the U.S. Geological Survey said the main island of Japan had
actually shifted 2.4 metres.

Japan may hand out iodine near nuclear plant
VIENNA - JAPANESE authorities have told the UN's atomic watchdog they are making preparations to distribute iodine to people living near nuclear power plants affected by Friday's earthquake, the Vienna-based agency said.

Iodine can be used to help protect the body from radioactive exposure.

In Japan on Saturday, radiation leaked from a damaged nuclear reactor after an explosion blew the roof off in the wake of the massive earthquake, but the government insisted that radiation levels were low.

Japan's Jiji news agency later said three workers suffered radiation exposure near the Fukushima nuclear plant.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN nuclear body, said Japanese authorities had informed it of the explosion and that they were 'assessing the condition of the reactor core'.

Japan expanded the evacuation zone around the plant, Fukushima Daiichi, and also that of the nearby Fukushima Daini nuclear power plant. -- REUTERS

"A comet, a meteor, a brown dwarf " She seems to forget things have names for a reason. Her lack of rational thought is illogical and hysterical.

And you seem to forget that the people responsible for naming things and reporting them are often lying sacks of shit.

I don't know this woman and I can't speak for her, but I assume that her "hysteria" is tied to the fact that the national media has recently been reporting on the possibility that our sun may have a binary partner that is a brown dwarf star. In fact, this is something that was first reported back in 1983 in the New York Times.

She's probably also aware of the fact that in the movie Deep Impact the President was black, and the comet that caused the apocalypse was code named Ellie, or E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event).

She's also aware of the fact that the current comet is called ELEnin.

She's also most likely aware of the fact that the media has been reporting that Betelgeuse may go super nova soon, conveniently giving an explanation for the possibility that people may start seeing two suns very soon.

So again, knowing that the power structures in our world can't be trusted at all, she *may* be thinking that the comet ELEnin isn't a normal comet, and is instead a brown dwarf star whose extraordinary mass (reported to be 5 times the size of Jupiter) could cause real problems (earthquakes, volcano eruptions, etc.) during particular alignments, such as the specific ones she mentioned in the video, the first of which coincidentally(?) has seen Japan's worst ever earthquake.

Is she a "respectable" fancy scientist, or a government representative?

Nope.

But as eyeno says,

"She is on to the symbolism syncs in media. Not sure if she interprets it all 100% correctly but she works hard at it.

And unfortunately, I'm of the opinion that IF what she says is true, then amateur Youtube warnings are the best we can hope for because none of the "respectable" fancy scientists or governmental officials are going to sit with Matt Lauer and say "remember all that wacky Planet X stuff? Well it's actually a mostly invisible brown dwarf star and it's going to be clothed in the sun until it traps the earth between itself and Sol, at which point the real fun is going to begin."

Shockwaves from melting icecaps are triggering earthquakes, say scientists

By Daniel Howden, in Ilulissat, Greenland
Saturday, 8 September 2007

High up inside the Arctic circle the melting of Greenland's ice sheet has accelerated so dramatically that it is triggering earthquakes for the first time.

Scientists monitoring the glaciers have revealed that movements of gigantic pieces of ice are creating shockwaves that register up to three on the Richter scale.

The speed of the arctic ice melt has accelerated to such an extent that a UN report issued earlier this year is now thought to be out of date by its own authors.

The American polar expert Robert Correll, among the key contributors to the UN International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report issued in February, described the acceleration as "massive".

Estimates of the likely rise in sea levels this century vary, and the IPCC published a conservative range of between 20cm-60cm. But those estimates are now heavily disputed, with many scientists insisting that new data collected since the IPCC report suggested a rise closer to two metres. Professor Correll said there was now a "consensus" that a significant acceleration in the loss of ice mass has occurred since the last report.

.

You know I stay out of it almost entirely when people want to do astrology, Planet X, etc., long as they're not mixing it in with 9/11 or class war or the real ecological disaster we are daily creating, but

a) we're all helplessly witnessing the possibility of an unparalleled preventable techno-disaster with millions of victims, which I certainly hope is not going to happen and

b) this one thing here is just too much:

Bruce Dazzling wrote:She's also aware of the fact that the current comet is called ELEnin.

I must have missed the part where they also prepared the cover story to explain why the Betelgeuse supernova (640 l.y. away), when it happens, will no longer be in Orion but start moving daily relative to the other fixed stars, as though it were a planet, a comet, or a brown dwarf on an irregular orbit approaching the inner Solar System just in time to give us the apocalypse predicted by Maya the Kreskin on etc. etc.

Please don't be insulted and please don't start a flamewar. Use this moment as an opportunity to learn some of the basics of astronomy, the most amazing and rewarding of all sciences, if you ask me.
