I think this would make a pretty good opera. [REFER.]
Hey, I've been thinking about that, Jack. My words here aren't meant to give anyone pause for thought, as you'll see.

So, let's extend the English-laden libretto to accommodate an hour's music, adding maybe a couple of sopranos, lyric and mezzo, and a counter-tenor Q (as a John de Lancie) personality, like a flamboyant bisexual, manly, without doubt: he'd add some misogynistic spice to the starship's interpersonal relations.

We could do with an orchestra of both traditional and electronic instruments and a dynamite percussion section. Perhaps filmed or direct-to-video? Distributed via Area23?

Here's an example I found of sopranos, doned with tin-foil  headdresses, singing The Flower Duet from composer Léo Delibes opera, Lakmé, first performed 1883. This electronic orchestrated accompaniment leaves little breathing room for performers' nuances for which one can listen in the original orchestration heard in the second video, below.

Arirang | a beloved Korean folk song

There are several versions of the song, and I chose this one because the Tölz Boys' Choir was an unexpected musical find. To some, Arirang means bitterness, sadness, happiness, and love—all felt in the same moment.

full interview on Contra | Vampire Weekend

I Think Ur a Contra | Vampire Weekend

    LYRICS.
    I had a feeling once
    That you and I
    Could tell each other everything
    For two months

    But even with an oath
    With truth on our side
When you turn away from me
    It’s not right

    I think ur a contra

    My revolution thoughts
    Your little arrows of desire
I want to trace them to the source
    And the wire

    But it’s not useful now
Since we’ve both made up our minds
You’re going to watch out for yourself
    And so will I

    I think ur a contra
And I think that you’ve lied
    Don’t call me a contra
    Till you’ve tried

You wanted good schools and friends with pools
    You’re not a contra

You wanted rock and roll, complete control
    Well, I don’t know

    Never pick sides
    Never choose between two
    Well I just wanted you
    I just wanted you

    You said,
    “Never pick sides
    Never choose between two”
    Well I just wanted you
    I just wanted you

    I think ur a contra
And I think that you’ve lied
    Don’t call me a contra
    Till you’ve tried
