I had no idea the magnitude of what Apple has been up to. Orwellian tracking/spying, 20 deaths in just the last couple years at their plant, debilitating chemicals used at plants that injure workers, cancer causing toxins released from a lot of their products(especially macs), their ever increasing totalitarian measures, their antics in China, etc.
Shoot I wouldnt be surprised if Apple starts hiring out PMCs or something

I used to know someone very well whose father was a professional poker player in Vegas. Back in the day portrayed in the movie "Casino". If you were a genius poker geek back then, there was really no place else to go. Vegas. It was run by the mob. They were everywhere. If you were a guy who could win that kind of money, the goons would meet you in your living room when you went home at night. They would just be there, waiting for you. You had to make deals with them. I mean, you didn't have a choice. They wouldn't just take a cut, they would also back you. They'd give you front money to use in the games. You could make money with their money. And if you stayed on their good side, they wouldn't kidnap your kid.

This fellow I knew, he knew, very well, both the main characters in the movie "Casino". Those were real guys. The Joe Pesci character bragged about killing people with icepicks in the ear. He didn't fuck around. He was a monster.

Anyway, I can't help but wonder, now, seeing as how the world is run by gangsters, hooked into the CIA and the shadow government and all of that, that if you're a genius enterpreneur who starts making billions of dollars and who makes products that everybody starts to use, especially ones as tantalizing as iphones and ipads and ipods and all the rest, with all the potential ways that these consumers and users of these products can be tracked and manipulated with said devices, if people don't start showing up in your living room when you go home at night.

You know, sort of a variation on "The Bill Hicks Moment".

I mean, look at Facebook. Look at Google. Look at Apple. If these companies weren't evil and hooked into the shadow government/CIA nexus to begin with, they SURE AS HELL are now. And we know these people don't fuck around, just like the Joe Pesci character in Casino.

This is speculation but it sure makes a hell of a lot of sense.

I don't think such powerful people would just let a guy like Steve Jobs do his thing without getting involved, in ways that involve making offers that he can't refuse.

I was just flipping channels on the old TV, and saw a "story" on Corporate/CIA News Network about how Marvel is coming out with a black teenage Spiderman who looks a LOT like Obama.

Marvel recently went public, they're now a huge Wall Street corporation making tons of money, and ...... this?

I mean, CNN's been carrying water for the goons forever now. Now pushing the Obama-as-teen-superhero as "created" by Marvel? Riiiiiiiight .......... Just in time for the 2012 Faux Elections.

Oh Nordic you are spot on as always here. My friend who served in naval intelligence was saying the same thing to me the other day. How so many of these "humble beginnings" honest startups like Apple and Facebook are now thoroughly spook mil-indust compromised. Notice how the Western backed revolutions, even back in 2009, were hailed by the government and media as "fueled by social networking"...they call em the twitter or facebook revolutions. Now everything has to be in "real time" for the show...complete with live twittering from the Seal raid in AbbotandCostellabad Pakistan.
This seamless integration of Apple and the security state, as well as Facebook and Twitter isnt surprising. There was a legitimate concern that "big brother" police state stuff would be
pushed onto the American public in the wake of 9/11 via fear. It then seemed IF RFID chips and all that stuff was to happen...it wouldnt be by fear, but by minimalist hip 30 second ads on tv and before the movies with "sexy white, black and indian" 20 somethingers listening to their ipods and hanging out..."Have you been chipped yet? The new iChip...hip, smart...sexy, cool...convenient".
Also how video games like Metal Gear Solid 4(where corporations with their own private PMCs are becoming more powerful than even some countries money and influence wise)

It came out that Apple is tracking your every move, and people were like "eh, what are ya gonna do?" Maybe that was a test balloon to check the "meh" level of the public...as if they dont get fired up about TSA with hands down kids pants at airports, or your devices tracking your every move...the public will take anything. Just sell em on al Qaeda or the need to be hip and cool and part of the incrowd. Sadly I go to San Francisco and Apple has pretty much turned everyone into ipod/iphone zombies.

I kind of figured out their scam. It almost feels like the government and Obama are tossing a few bones to gay rights, health care covering all forms of birth control, etc to string along the ever shrinking liberal support base. That, and the rabid Tea Party dogs also serve as a reminder of what it looks like to not be in the Obama court...you get painted as a virulent racist. I mean only so much endless bombing trumping even Bush's military expansion can so many lefties take...so hey, look over here...gays can now serve as cannon fodder! And we'll look into repealing DOMA.

So it seems like there's this madison avenue/pentagon creation of "multiculturalism" which smacks of artificiality. Having a black-latino(and apparently from reports, gay) new Spiderman
is part of this...to say "hey look how much things have changed", while the same ingrained cyclical/economic racism MLK talked about continues on from inner city to inner city.
So the public sees a black face in the white house, they wont notice that black americans are becoming even more victim of a slipping economy, as even a growing number of poor working class whites are.
I also see the deliberate stoking of the GOP creation Tea Party/right wing fringe for some future strategy of tension to be unveiled soon.

Cornel West nails it...what has Obama truly done for black folks? Other than giving all kids of color the ability to dream of achieving anything, he seems to mostly be serving wallstreet and the military industrial complex.
