Oh, for god's sake. You aren't even informative enough to have an argument with.

For me personally, it sure doesnt inspire me to action in the moment.

But just keep on growing that economy; it's worked well so far.

And I'm sure Paul knows (at least a half-way intelligent person would) that a large chunk of our economy is the war machinery. 'Course, he's got that old 1900 thingy goin' so I suppose he's good with cutting off the hand that feeds him.

but in the meantime, what about the abominable wars? is there another candidate besides paul who has openly and publicly said they're a disgrace and that he would cease and desist immediately as CIC and bring the troops home? ...is that credible? i think so. hypothetically, if the smorgasbord of goons each had one issue and we picked based on that alone what would anyone choose ahead of cease and desist? i know that's what i would pick. ...i don't get it...

Sibel Edmonds, who's developed a pretty decent blog, eviscerates the Paul campaign for hiring neocon lobbyist whore Bruce Fein.

Apparently she is, or was (until now) a Paul supporter.

WTF was Ron Paul thinking, to EVER get hooked up with this sell-out sleazebag Fein?

A SERIOUS error of judgement that shows he's not sincere, careful, or considerate of who his potential supporteres are and their principled disgust at such a disgusting worm being invited into the Paul camp.

Unless Paul salvages this shit, I strongly doubt I could support him. Its too blatantly a terrible judgement call, a likely PTB mole/poison pill or sign of his true layalties/compromise. Like Obama being feted and vetted by Wall Street. You can't serve 2 masters.

Either stand-up to the hypocrisy, fraud, cronyism, corruption etc of Washington/Wall Street, OR take a principled stand, fight to the end.

If there was a way of changing the situation, I think word would have to reach Ron Paul from outside his immediate circle, because it sounds like a lot of them have taken an attitude of win at all costs, if it means with someone like Fein, tough.

My online thought on how the message could get through would be if Dennis Kucinich made a discreet phone call...

Via Austin activist John Bush of TAG (Texans for Accountable Government http://www.TagTexas.org):

Image

RP fans be aware - the campaign, in an effort to appeal to the mainstream, has asked supporters to remove non-RP friendly friends and groups from their fb accounts, asked supporters and staffers to distance themselves from so called "truthers", and in case you forget, RP himself made a commitment to support ALL GOP incumbents in Texas. Is this what we can expect of his presidency if he gets elected?

... and ...

To RP supporters - use his campaign to spread the message of liberty and leave it at that! Who needs a presidency anyway. The institution is the problem, not the man at the head of it. Self governance is the answer, not a RP presidency.

I just explained to a Ron Paul supporter last night how, no matter what, the installation of pure Libertarianism as an institution tomorrow would lead to nothing other than our enslavement at the hands of the already powers that be. He didn't have any other argument other than "it would be illegal!" but it took him awhile to grasp the idea that since a very small elite group already control all the resources, there isn't going to be any more left for him in a Libertarian world than there is today; as a matter of fact it would be much, much less.

Based on this post, I'd say she is. Very disheartening. Even after I read Jeff's brilliant takedown of Ron Paul, I was very positively disposed towards him... But his admittedly principled stand on non-intervention is unfortunately amply offset by his fanatical hatred of any and all central structures aimed at providing for the less well off. And he did name his son "Rand". Yech.

Also, I'm wary of these born again US citizens. While Turkey doubtlessly has its own dirty laundry, Sibel Edmonds, formerly Turkish I believe, has a whiff of "anti-Castro Cuban" about her for me after this post. That is not to take anything away from her courageous whistleblowing, just an observation. As misguided as that may be.

Also, just to add, I love her show "Boiling Frogs" with Peter B. Collins, and I love Mr. Peter B. Collins even more intensely. He's at The Peter B. Collins Show where you can also access all the Boiling Frogs episodes.

This is the best tact to take if one wants to be productive. I used to be a lefty/libertarian. Government is the only thing left standing in the way of complete corporate takeover. Government is supposed to be the people. Make government adhere to that, don't hate and want to destroy the only recourse we have left to combat fascist control. They seem to respond to that.

Side note, His son is named 'RandY' as in RANDALL, not after Ayn Rand.
