Peter Schiff, Tea Partier -- wants to educate OWS

Skip to 9:56 in the video below for his comments on OWS. He says the protesters are "directing their anger in the wrong direction" -- "they're occupying the wrong street. Instead of occupying wall street they should be occupying Pennsylvania Avenue." Schiff says they should be protesting the government not the banks that got the bailouts, but his little pea brain doesn't get the simple fact that Wall Street is dictating government policy. I suppose for Schiff, that's a conspiracy theory. He then goes on and on about capitalism not being the problem -- which opens a can-o-worms since it's the age-old debate about what true capitalism really means, etc.

OK, fair enough, he loves his version of capitalism and thinks it will save the world. But he's trying to frame the OWS positions as communism. Here we go. He thinks the demands are for more government, more socialism. Talk about a laundry list of right-wing cliches. I'm surprised he hasn't mentioned Obama's birth certificate in previous videos.

He then gets all patronizing and condescending, saying "If we could education the Occupy Wall Street movement, so they understand what it is they're protesting, then maybe we could merge the Occupy Wall Street movement with the Tea Party." Is he fucking kidding me? The Tea Party that was occupied by Sarah Palin and the far-right?

Schiff should just stick to being the outspoken contrarian regarding the demise of the dollar. He's coming across as a 1 percenter with this schtick.

Meet the Guy Who Snitched on Occupy Wall Street to the FBI and NYPD

The Occupy Wall Street protests have been going on for a month. And it seems the FBI and NYPD have had help tracking protesters' moves thanks to a conservative computer security expert who gained access to one of the group's internal mailing lists, and then handed over information on the group's plans to authorities and corporations targeted by protesters.

Since the Occupy Wall Street protest began on September 17, New York security consultant Thomas Ryan has been waging a campaign to infiltrate and discredit the movement. Ryan says he's done contract work for the U.S. Army and he brags on his blog that he leads "a team called Black Cell, a team of the most-highly trained and capable physical, threat and cyber security professionals in the world." But over the past few weeks, he and his computer security buddies have been spending time covertly attending Occupy Wall Street meetings, monitoring organizers' social media accounts, and hanging out with protesters in Lower Manhattan.

Here is another at BOA in St. Louis-
MUST WATCH, imo.

At a rally in St. Louis on August 12, 2011, several people with savings and checking accounts at Bank of America tried to walk into the building to close their accounts. The suits and the police they had there to back them up wouldn't allow it.

‘Bank Transfer Day’ Protest Attracts Massive Facebook Following, As Well As “Bank Trolls”
By Carl Franzen, Talking Points Memo
15 October 11

Remember, remember…to close your bank account and transfer your funds into a credit union on the fifth of November?

That's what more than 32,000 people on Facebook have pledged to do as a form of protest against the much-reviled debit card fees that some of the nation's largest banks are testing or planning on introducing.
Remarkably, all of those people came together in just over a week under the umbrella of a single Facebook event page, the aptly-named "Bank Transfer Day," created by Kristen Christian, a 27-year-old Los Angeles-based independent art gallery owner.

The explosive popularity of the event is no doubt due in part to Christian's savvy skills as a marketer: Seeing the Occupy Wall Street movement spread across the U.S. and knowing the appeal of "Anonymous" stories online, she recruited San Francisco-based artist Eddie Colla to design the "Guy Fawkes" mask logo for her Facebook page. The Facebook page also includes black and white imagery designed to be printed out as paper flyers and posted offline in the real world. One of the flyers contains a QR code linking back to the movement's Facebook page.

And yet, despite using the language of the Occupy protests and the "Guy Fawkes" imagery of Anonymous to promote her event, Christian claims that she's not affiliated with either the hacker group or the Occupy demonstrations.
"I'm not associated with Occupy Wall Street, and they aren't directly involved in Bank Transfer Day, though many supporters of that cause have shown support toward this one," she wrote to TPM in an email.
Christian also adamantly denied receiving any financial support for the project, saying that so far, she's only spent $20 of her own money to register the domain name "www.banktransferday.org," and bus fares to post flyers.
"I have not & don't plan to accept public or private donations," she wrote to TPM. "All funding has come out of my own pocket. Not to say I'm wealthy, by any means…This is entirely a word-of-mouth movement."
She's been getting a lot of media attention for her cause lately, including interviews with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and KLTA Los Angeles.
And don't think that the big banks haven't noticed. In fact, bank employees have allegedly "trolled" the Facebook event page, trying to sow dissent with critical wall postings, at least according to Christian.
"Several corporate-level banking institutions have sent 'trolls' to discourage the movement through the event page, including JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Merrill Lynch," Christian wrote to TPM in an email. "I've encouraged all supporters to respond civilly to these bank employees."

As proof, Christian provided TPM with screenshots of a wall post from a woman who's LinkedIn profile indicates she is a "Teller Ops Specialist" at Bank of America.

Schiff is a 'pure Austrian school', so pretty much anything else is going to be boogie-man socialism to him. Again, I'm all fo geting the Fed as well, lets do it! But these types want to cripple anything that stands in the way of corporate free-for-all. "Government is too powerful"...No, government is controlled by CORPORATIONS fucker. "Obama is a socialist". No, Obama is a corporatist doing what the select corporations want. People like Schiff want to get rid of the ONLY potential means of recourse the citizens have in constraining the corporate controllers from grinding us into powder.

Here Are Occupy Wall Street's Plans For A National Convention That Could Change The Face Of America

It's in the works. A massive Occupy Wall Street gathering with delegates from all over the country. And if these plans are carried out, Occupy Wall Street will be a major force to be reckoned with on Election Day 2012.

The date? July 4, 2012.

Put aside questions of whether or not the movement will survive that long. Imagine that they do, because they have no doubt.

If only our economy had that kind of confidence.

Discussions on how to proceed will begin tomorrow at a massive General Assembly at 7 PM. Here's how they describe what they're about to do:

....the election of delegates and holding of a national general assembly or convention on July 4, 2012 must be organized. No calls for violence. No calls for the violent overthrow of the government.

...Once organized and the delegates have been elected by direct ballot in all 435 districts. They must demand that our elected leaders take action. If they do not take action within one year of the demand, we will demand their mass resignations and that new elections be held so we can take back our democracy from the corporations and those who BUY power and influence with MONEY. Yes this includes unions and lobbyists.

The Citizens United case must be reversed...

More concrete, long-term measures can also be found on their website in a document called The Steps to Non-Violent Revolution and the Convening of a National General Assembly. There are ten of them, and the most amazing thing about them, is that they outline a democratic plan to decide on a platform of reforms supported by occupations across the entire country leading right up to the 2012 election.

Perhaps Occupy Wall Street only thought of doing this now, but I sincerely doubt it.

Basically, if this is carried out, Occupy Wall Street could shift the course of American politics at its highest levels.

Here are the steps:

1. The Occupy Wall Street movement, through the local general assembly, should elect an executive committee comprised of 11 people or some other odd number of people that is manageable for meetings. Ideally this committee should represent each city in the U.S. that is being occupied.

2. The executive committee will then attend to local issues such as obtaining permits, paying for public sanitation and dealing with the media. More important, the executive committee shall plan and organize the election of the 870 delegates to a National General Assembly between now and July 4, 2012.

3. As stated in the 99% declaration, each of the 435 congressional districts will form an election committee to prepare ballots and invite citizens in those districts to run as delegates to a National General Assembly in Philadelphia beginning on July 4, 2012 and convening until October 2012.

4. Each of the 435 congressional districts will elect one man and one woman to attend the National General Assembly. The vote will be by direct democratic ballot regardless of voter registration status as long as the voter has reached the age of 18 and is a US citizen. This is not a sexist provision. Women are dramatically under-represented in politics even though they comprise more than 50% of the U.S. population.

5. The executive committee will act as a central point to solve problems, raise money to pay for the expenses of the election of the National General Assembly and make sure all 870 delegates are elected prior to the meeting on July 4th.

6. The executive committee would also arrange a venue in Philadelphia to accommodate the delegates attending the National General Assembly where the declaration of values, petition of grievances and platform would be proposed, debated, voted on and approved. The delegates would also elect a chair from their own ranks to run the meetings of the congress and break any tie votes. We will also need the expertise of a gifted parliamentarian to keep the meetings moving smoothly and efficiently.

7. The final declaration, platform and petition of grievances, after being voted upon by the 870 delegates to the National General Assembly would be formally presented by the 870 delegates to all three branches of government and all candidates running for federal public office in November 2012. Thus, the delegates would meet from July 4, 2012 to sometime in early to late October 2012.

8. The delegates to the National General Assembly would then vote on a time period, presently suggested as one year, to give the newly elected government in November an opportunity to redress the petition of grievances. This is our right as a People under the First Amendment.

9. If the government fails to redress the petition of grievances and drastically change the path this country is on, the delegates will demand the resignation and recall of all members of congress, the president and even the Supreme Court and call for new elections by, of and for the PEOPLE with 99 days of the resignation demand.

10. There will NEVER be any call for violence by the delegates even if the government refuses to redress the grievances and new elections are called for by the delegates. Nor will any delegate agree to take any money, job promise, or gifts from corporations, unions or any other private source. Any money donated or raised by the executive committee may only be used for publicizing the vote, the National General Assembly, and for travel expenses and accommodation at the National General Assembly ONLY. All books and records will be published openly online so that everyone may see how much money is raised and how the money is spent each month. There will be no money allowed to "purchase" delegate votes as we have in the current government. No corporate "sponsorship".

Very ambitious, we'll see how it goes.

Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.

I spent the first half of my Sunday at Foley Square at an extremely underattended Monsanto protest.

Only about 75 people showed up for what was billed as Millions Against Monsanto, which was a shame, because if they would have done the slightest bit of coordination, they could have had hundreds of Wall Street occupyers come and support.

After that, Miss Dazzling and I went down to Liberty Plaza where I traded my camera for a sign.

I did sneak in two photos.

A scathing review of the Global Revolution Livestream chat.

The Intel Hub
October 15, 2011

http://theintelhub.com/2011/10/15/heavy ... iron-fist/

As the Occupy Wall Street Protests continue to gain ground, a startling new trend has emerged within the Global Revolution Livestream chat.

This livestream page has over 250,000 Facebook likes and is the main place most people go to find out up to date information on what is happening at the Occupy protests.

During the first 10 days of the protests the chat was full of thousands of people will different ideas and many many who wanted to end the Federal Reserve and expose the REAL powers that control this country.

Sometime after the first 10 days of the protest, the moderators of the chat decided to crack down on all political speech that doesn’t demand the end of capitalism and blame ALL our problems on the puppet corporations.

We are literally talking about banning anyone who says end the fed or even brings up the private banking cartel that openly runs this country. These heavy handed moderators, pretending to represent the 99%, are actually acting more like the 1%, telling the chatters that, “we just don’t question the moderators here.”

These mods then go on to talk about how political speech is banned in the chatroom as the livestream plays clips of political leftist and Current TV(owned by Al Gore) host Keith Olbermann.

Chatters who want to speak about the real powers that rule this country are then told to go to some obscure chatroom with less than a dozen people in it compared to the thousands who frequent the main Global Revolution livestream.

Who are these mods and who decided to ban all talk about the private federal reserve? This is a very serious deveolopment that threatens to undermine the entire movement.

How are we supposed to believe these protests represent the 99% when only those on the extreme left are able to push their views in the livestream that started the whole occupy protests?

As long as chatters promote ending captalism and blaming EVERYTHING on the corporations, their political speech is acceptable. Only when chatters speak about real issues is the rule about no politics in the chat brought up.

I have personally witnessed dozens if not hundreds of people being banned by these freedom hating moderators. If you have been banned in the chat for simply speaking your mind about the private federal reserve please comment on this article and let us know about your experience with the mods who cannot be challenged in the supposed Global Revolution Livestream.

Note: I am obviously NOT talking about banning people for trolling and disrupting the movement. It is important that there are mods who do ban trolls but rather then do this, these moderators have shown their absolute support for the Federal Reserve by pretending that anyone that talks about it is a troll.

Thanks for spreading more bullshit. Not the first time, and I'm sure it won't be the last. I watch the 'live chat'. What the mods I saw doing at times was clearing the board from all the repetitive, as in posting over and over, the same thing. They crowd the dialogue box with copy/paste 'END THE FED", over and over. But I'm sure that obnoxious behavior is fine with you.

I have seen the admonish any candidate promotion on any side. Oh, they show Olbermann clips!!!! OH MY GOD!

Actually 2012 I don't give a rip what people post in the chat room. I just posted it to see what the RI crowd would say. I wondered if it was true. I post things I don't agree with as often as I post things I do agree with. I post it to see what will bounce back from the board.

But if you wonder what my attitude is on the fed, I want it ended yesterday along with wallstreet, and along with corporations giving money to politicians. We don't need the fed.

No, I don't 'wonder' at all, actually. I got all I need to know.

Schiff is a libertarian austrian-school guy who thinks that "market forces" will fix everything. You know, like Alan Greenspan thought, which is what led to the casino of Wall street and the ultimate meltdown.

Schiff is a weird one, because he's right about some things and completely, utterly wrong about everything else. Like a lot of libertarians.
