OS never had an adequately large, mature and committed base to get anywhere. Many of the kids became proprietary in their attitude, and were rude and disrespectful to people who approached them for information. They would change the time of a march 3 or 4 times right up until it was supposed to happen and then glibly defend this practice because it had been "democratic", never mind all of those who couldn't participate because there hadn't been enough public notice. Now they're shouting down people whom they say don't get or won't conform to their process, well, it's not that surprising.

OS ended for me when they moved to the college. The arrogance displayed by those reacting to Holden's article is inexcusable. So much for the legacy of the WTO.

Bam. We're back at Oscar Grant Plaza. They spent half a million dollars to evict us, only to figure out that we won't quit. 2500 people here. Holding General Assembly.

Maybe Quan feels like she's losing Oakland to Occupy. I hope so. She's losing her administration.

7:30 p.m. Another member of mayoral team resigns

Deputy Mayor Sharon Cornu has resigned, effective immediately, the second member of the mayor's team to submit her resignation just today. Mayor Jean Quan's legal adviser and longtime friend, Dan Siegel, also resigned today over the mayor's handling of the Occupy encampment.

Sounds like flash bangs heard off camera. I guess I now live in a country where you recognize that sound when you hear it.

Well then, that's it. This is dangerous ground. The only thing that will save OWS now is complete economic upheaval. All that can be said is that the cops rolled in this weekend and early in the week, nationwide and cleared house. This much is clear. Most contributors probably thoroughly vetted and totally biometrically observed -- and databased. The job has been done.

I think this is the "first step" in revolution. It shows it is possible. With commonsense, we can beat back the propaganda simply by not buying it and taking it a step further. I do not know how.

It's a fucking shame this country has become and really always has been with many good people free to do as they may. Always chasing off nonexistent chimeras to fuel economic bubbles.

We shall see what the "government" offers us now. We shall see what they do. More boot or more face? They're flanking us with this republican retard parade. Only so much time in the day. Only so much to think about in any given cycle. The media rules.

Judge just ruled Bloomberg and NYPD's evictions were unlawful!!!!!

Restraining order allows Occupants to return to Zuccotti!

A New York judge on Tuesday issued a temporary restraining order allowing protesters to return to Zuccotti Park only hours after police forcibly removed them, arresting dozens.

The order by Justice Lucy Billings set a hearing date for Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. and said that until the matter was considered at that hearing, the city and Brookfield Properties, the owners of Zuccotti Park, would be prohibited from evicting protesters or "enforcing 'rules' published after the occupation began or otherwise preventing protesters from re-entering the park with tents and other property previously utilized."

It was not immediately clear what effect the order would have on the protesters meeting in nearby Foley Square. Some had advocated returning to the park
