correction

Postby Avalon » Mon Sep 05, 2005 2:36 pm

For "real life" substitute "waking life". What goes on while we are not conscious of it is just as much a part of us as our waking experiences, whether we recognize it or not.

I had been thinking that all this Katrina tragedy felt the same as watching a train wreck about to happen, the helplessness of it. Then I saw your post, sw, about the remote viewing.

Re: Kansas City?

Hi Sw,

Be careful, this info may be triggering....

I think finding validation is good, but only when you're ready. Here's what I found in a very short search:

from Chris De Nicola's testimony to ACHRE (congressional hearings) 1995:

Quote:
"The first significant memory took place at Kansas City University in 1966. Don Ebner took me there by plane when my mom was out of town. I was in what looked like a laboratory and there seemed to be other children..."

It gets detailed and posssibly very triggering at that point, so I'll stop. If you want to read her entire testimony it is here, scroll to page 77.

www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/radiation/dir/mstreet/commeet/meet12/trnsc12a.txt

Also I found this from Ross's "Bluebird":

Louis Jolyon West, Top Secret MKULTRA contract for $20,800. to study dissociative states at the University of Oklahoma in 1956.

This stuff went on all over the country.

What you wrote about your dream states, the feeling of it being more real, etc... sometimes this semi-conscious connnection might be the only way we can access certain parts at first. It's an end run around programming, the blockages set up to be active while the brain is fully awake are disabled during sleep. We may be able to track this pathway eventually, prove that dissociated material, real memory that is, can be accessed during certain sleep states.

As others have said, it's a good sign, it means the parts of you with these experiences feel safe enough to start coming forward. The more you know, the freer you will be.

Space

Postby Avalon » Mon Sep 05, 2005 9:45 pm

For many years I've had the Gary Snyder poem Prayer for the Great Family framed in my bathroom. Its closing lines are

"Grandfather Space
The Mind is his Wife."

It is good to have Space there for you.

What can he do to help with the dreams, the memories, your need to get good sleep? Have you asked him?

brownies

Postby Avalon » Tue Sep 06, 2005 2:05 am

I'm a great believer in brownies -- of course, good brownies! -- for [cough] medicinal uses.

Very powerful medicine.

I've finally gotten used to making two boxes worth at a time, because I love to eat so much of the batter before the eggs go in and for some strange reason the rest of the family seems to want to have some brownies too at the end of the process.

I'm sure Space understands.

Good morning, sw. Thanks to you, I’ve got a songline stuck in my head now:

“When I was a child, I spoke as a child…
Lord I wish I could remember what I said.”

Space seems to understand that chocolate is an essential food group! Baking brownies in single batches is a hanging offense at my house, LOL

Folk Medicine

Postby proldic » Tue Sep 06, 2005 1:41 pm

People's Medicine

Baking is always fun -- but here's another way:

For the source material you're talking about, the traditional preparation process tends to alter the "ratio". For many, that means tending towards sleepy.

The following method is easier, and also allows for more control. People's experiences show that this method works remarkably well for many as a mild anti-depressant and immune tonic, among many other listed benefits.
Depending on the original source material, this method also helps to retain more of the productive and creative energies.

Formula

empty gelatin caps (non-animal source can also be purchased)

granulated lecithin

fresh medicinal herbs, chopped very fine

Method

Add small amount (< 1/8 tsp) of lecithin granules to bottom of one cap half, pack chopped herbs into both sides, then join together.

Can be made ahead for later use -- store sealed in a cool/dry place.

Consume on a light stomach. A very small amount of dairy or nut milk can assist in assimilation, but is not necessary.

The number of capsules consumed varies depending on the type of source material, an individual's body weight, and the specific condition.

You can get the lecithin and caps for cheap at a health food store, where you can also get a little plastic filling tray that makes the job easier if you want to make more than a handful.

Further info on this process can be found in Prescription for Nutritional Healing by Balch (Penguin).
