Ah yes, monetizing the clitoris. It's been tried before, I assume, with varying degrees of success. I think Ms. Willow has the right idea, and the organic rise of the publicity she's generated so far is a great sign.

It's hard to make much marking up t-shirts. I think if I were in Willow's shoes I'd be thinking about a book of some sort as a document, and exploring publication options. A coffee table edition, maybe.

I dunno, though. I've never made any money except by mistake.

:lol2: Same here, 'cuda.

I think a coffee table book is an excellent idea. You should really do it, Willow. I would buy it just to scandalize my family.

Although a fuller, better understanding of the clit MAY be recent, my sexual experience began in the mid-70's during the first big wave of clitoris-awareness. This led many of us to overemphasize it, I believe, at the expense of other erogenous zones... or, err, go for it too early.

There's the great line by John Cleese as the sex ed teacher in Python's 'Meaning of Life' (1983).

What's wrong with a kiss, boy? Hmm? Why not start her off with a nice kiss? You don't have to go leaping straight for the clitoris like a bull at a gate.

I like it. We'll see if the strength of the work coming in for the exhibit warrants something like that. I hope it does.

Warning, slightly dirty....

I have an idea to do a rather direct and simple turnabout. A picture of a giant, flying clit menacingly perched over the tiny, naked body of a man, the clit's glans poised for penetration, or something. Or perhaps hordes of naked men running away from a squadron of clits invading main street a la a 1950's style horror movie, all of them running to avoid being squeezed and sucked to a dry, but orgasmic death.

It's probably all been done before, but the mind boggles at the possibilities.

Both and any variation of the theme you can think of. Once you take the scary out of it you've demystified it.

Wait..is that a good thing? :evilgrin

No, sure. Just a thought that occurred to me when I saw the mug, and the panties, and thought about the humonguous potential this has, given that probably 95+ percent of women haven't heard the news yet, and a very large proportion of them (and a goodly chunk of men) will be excited about it. For all of which you will all forgive me, I hope. Can't help thinking about money in this place, you know? (This place being Planet Fucking Earth, not RI.) I ain't gonna monetize it, and Willow didn't set out to do so, but if it ends up that way: Congratulations to her! Cos it's one of those Right Things.

So it's been a banner day for PW.

Yesterday I got a nice message from Betty Dodson, with a correction, she is great!

This morning started off with a supportive email from Susie Bright. She posted the site on her various pages and somehow it got on reddit/r/sex. Then the hit count went haywire, 1000 before 10am pacific.

Noon-thirty and our local art critic arrives for an interview. She is smart, empathetic, she even listens to my back story without denying or running away. She makes me feel at ease. I like her, I really like her.

Then it's back to numbers with reddit, 3pm 4500, 7pm 7500, and finally tonight at midnight 11,525 hits and 9,039 unique visitors.

:bigsmile

This is fun.

Just in case you've despaired and forgotten WHY this forum exists!

Here's to International Women's Day.

I've been waiting for someone to post on how a lot of this new focus on the clitoris is a result of big pharma's quest for the female viagra, because it's probably true.
