Can't find any more information than this, but FWIW:
On June 29, 2012 Mike Crefeld along with his neighbors saw an object land in Tuckahoe State Park, Maryland at approximately 11pm he quickly went inside and got his cell phone and captured a silent bright orange object take off and go into space as 3 black army helicopters watched and then circled the area for over 4 hours that night. If anyone has any information on this sighting please contact your local MUFON office.
Interesting. It's worth noting that's the night the powerful Derecho blew through the DC region. I'm looking at a radar loop to see if it roared through Tuckahoe State Park area. It seems that area may have received a glancing blow, with the storm dissipating a bit over the Chesapeake Bay.
There very well may have been enough atmospheric disturbance to knock aircraft from the sky.

Yes, I thought the audio was at least as compelling as the video.
There's a second witness video, also with the sound of choppers (and barking dogs as well):
On June 29, 2012 at around 11:30pm Tony Roman and his Girlfriend were walking their german shepherds on Old Wye Mills Road close to College Drive in the state of Maryland, when he saw a bright orange ball of light overhead, he said they were being followed by several helicopters. This is the video he manage to catch on his cell phone. If anyone has a any information please contact your local MUFON office.
