I think this is the Christmas show... may go into the newyears songs... Star Club late 1962 :ohwh

I've long harbored the wildly illegal purple chick boot, but now I can link to it on youtube, it's almost as if wildly critical cultural gems are going to become available to people! enjoy :eeyaa

..and stunning pics as a bonus..

There is That which was not born, nor created, nor evolved. If it were not so, there would never be any refuge from being born, or created, or evolving. That is the end of suffering. That is God**.

Casta Diva: What are you listening to right now?

Postby Allegro » Thu Aug 23, 2012 7:50 pm

Two daring interpretations :) compared to F. Giordano’s.

^ Casta Diva from Norma | Cecilia Bartoli, soprano

^ Casta Diva from Norma | Joan Sutherland, soprano

Re: call to prayer: What are you listening to right now?

Postby Allegro » Thu Aug 23, 2012 8:11 pm

During studies of Middle Eastern music, which of course was inspired by RI back in early March, this audio of quite lovely sounds of music is contributed for RI’s listening ear. Islamic calls to prayer must exude a rather calm effect after listening to music with unrelenting beats.

^ adhan Wiki intro | The adhān (Arabic: أَذَان‎ [ʔæˈðæːn]), or azan (as pronounced in Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan), is the Islamic call to prayer, recited by the muezzin at prescribed times of the day. The root of the word is ʼḏn أَذَن meaning “to permit”; another derivative of this word is uḏun, meaning “ear”.
