I don't have you on ignore. I never had you on ignore. I hate the ignore function and only grudgingly have experimented with it. I do fantasize about being on ignore though. Like doing a pantomime in front of a blindfolded audience. I hate mimes too. Strange that you seem to lack many of the social graces and yet are way more social than I am.

82, I really believe there's never been a different way: "It's about being genuine and as McGowan enumerates, there is no longer any genuineness of any import in this country unless you create it for yourself and embrace it when it comes unto you." In fact, I believe it's the only way.

There's nothing strange about that at all BPH. Let me be the first to say bygones are bygones. Deal?

Which reminds me: where did the soul handshakes go?

Heh. I once greeted for the first time the father of a girlfriend with a reflexive "soul handshake" and he recoiled in disgust as though I had just wiped feces on his hand and said "none of that hippie n...r shit". Suffice it to say we didn't get along so good.

Soul handshake: My son and his friends do it, although I don't think they call it that.

Back home in the Great Flyover, there are still porn superstores by the interstates, and apparently they're still scraping by; the parking lots are always far from empty, if not exactly full. It's a head scratcher. It isn't like one has to be particularly bright or well connected to get on the internet any more...

Saturday morning cartoons on network TV.

Yes there's teletoon, the cartoon network, YTV, but Saturday morning was something I looked forward to as a kid. Once in my 20's I decided to check it out and there was nothing on, back in the day when all I had was basic cable. I think Fox had some, X-men, Sonic the Hedgehog, but I remember the Smurfs, Dungeons and Dragons, Voltron, Jabber Jaw, and of course Looney Tunes. Good stuff. :bigsmile

Forgot about Superfriends! Not to mention Rocket Robin Hood, The Mighty Hercules, The Amazing Spiderman, Thunderbirds 2086, Battle of the Planets and my sentimental favourite, Astroboy!

Respect for y'alls humanity and all, still, most of this list is pining for techno ephemera that came and went in a few decade bump. Ticking clocks and tailored clothes, those are some oldies less heard and seen, but still, get over the distractions and destroy the evil now. Now. Thanks.

My previous reply was perhaps a bit terse. I should also say that although you may be lacking in many of the social graces you're not lacking in graciousness. So if it wasn't clear enough, I am happy to have bygones be bygones. I have been unneccesarily rude to you in the past and I would truly be a cad if I didn't accept the olive branch you are extending. This is not to say we'll suddenly become good buddies, but certainly we needn't be enemies. We have enough common real enemies that we really ought to be allies.

So, now let us never speak of it again.
