Savile - why now?

As our 'time' continues to compress, the amount of information our societies are ingesting has naturally lead us to string together more fragments of that information into substantive linkages - on an ever-increasingly exponential basis. A small percentage of consciousnesses (especially those at RI) have been tuned into this new paradigm for a long time - the vanguard, if you like.

Now it's time for everyone else to catch up.

In the UK, (creeping beyond the fringe blogs that tackle this stuff on a daily basis and into the mainstream), we are experiencing an unprecedented run of ' I fucking well knew it! "

Every single person I've spoken to about this (including non-RI type folk) knew that Savile was wrong - just plain wrong. I spoke with two close friends last night and they literally hung their heads in shame, followed by an awkward silence amongst the three of us. These two friends are not 'conspiracy theory nutters' like me, they are 'regular' people that are beginning to realise that something is terribly, terribly wrong with the system - and they are having to admit it to themselves. After further discussions on where this investigation into Savile could lead, I left two shocked and bewildered friends at the end of the evening. There is a definite 'general' softening of the boundaries of taboo subjects taking place.

In the UK, scandals are now a weekly occurence - and eventually they will be weekly, then daily, then hourly. Our consciousnesses will have evolved to keep up with the pace, but at what point will the dam break? After 15 years of delving into dark corners (inducing depression and anxiety), I consider myself hardened - but what of those to whom this is a new experience, beyond places like RI?

With this blossoming of truth and integrity, how we will we all fit in to a system that is corrupt and without integrity? There is no system of truth and integrity waiting in the wings to be implemented.

We are learning how to stop lying to ourselves.

I wish that bit were true. Over the past decade those whom I know about in the UK who have brought allegations of organised ritual abuse have faced a wall of denial. One part of that seamless refusal of their testimony is often, almost always, an implication that they are jumping on some kind of bandwagon, have read about this kind of thing in the media, seen it in films and so on. Those doing the cover up are very good at turning any embarassing revelations or irrefutable proof to their advantage. I'll start hoping for change when and if the police open the case closed files and look into the corruption, and when the finance becomes available to tackle the illegal porn industry, which seems to have its defenders just about everywhere. A bit of justice for all victims, that would make my day.

There is that. But once the unthinkable's thought, what then? Try to unthink it again? I constantly need to remind myself I live in the world in which the Franklin Credit Union actually existed, because it should have changed everything. But knowing we're ruled by monsters hasn't slain a single monster yet. “Well, there’s nothin’ we can do about it,” said the neighbor. “It’s just somethin’ we’re gonna have to forget.”

The comments are interesting, too. Familiar mix of incredulity with anything's possible whenever the media at last shines a light on a taboo subject and an off-limits cast of characters. And you have to wonder how long the light will shine. Cameron's government has rejected a call for an independent inquiry, and Brendan O'Neil is already calling any attempt to broaden the investigation or see patterns of systemic abuse "a mad hunt for a ‘conspiracy of witches.’"

When I was much younger I worked on a job with this very good looking guy from Leeds who told me that he had previously worked at the Locarno dance hall in Leeds, run by Jimmy S.. A certain national beauty queen and her lady chaperone visited one evening. To cut a long story short the companion ended up drunk(drugged?) in one room and the beauty queen in a similar state, stretched out cold on a table next door. When J.S. had finished with her, the rest of the staff were told to help themselves. When I said I found it hard to believe, he swore that it was true and he had no reason to lie, was actually ashamed of himself.What a world hey, Tap?.

Savile de Rais: Jimmy Savile, Serial Killing and High Weirdness

The more I read about Savile (I’ve already written about his probable necrophilia) the weirder it gets. There is something literally legendary about him – to me Savile increasingly looks like some kind of latter-day Gilles de Rais, the profligate aristocrat, pedophile and black magician who rode into battle alongside Joan of Arc and was later convicted for the deaths of over five hundred children.

What might Savile have to do with dead children? We’ll get to that. But first let’s look at the evidence that suggests he may have been… a spy (or spymaster).

Don’t take my whacky word for it! Let us instead refer to a 2008 Daily Mail article that began with the sentence “Deep cover is not the phrase which springs to mind when you meet Jimmy Savile,” before going on to consider what credibility there was in the following assertion made by Savile himself.

“I guess I am like Forrest Gump (…) I am like a sewing machine needle that goes in here and goes in there, but I am also the eminence grise: the grey, shadowy figure in the background. The thing about me is I get things done and I work under cover.”

Although the article goes on to tentatively soften some of Savile’s remarkable claims to world historical prestige, all are left pretty much intact. They include Savile’s extremely intimate friendships with successive UK Prime Ministers (including “11 consecutive Christmases at Chequers” with Margaret Thatcher) and several very high profile British royals – Princess Diana actually referred to Savile as “a sort of mentor for Charles” (nice) – and the fact that Savile “spent an afternoon entertaining the wives of the G7 leaders back in 1991 at John Major’s invitation.” (What did he regale them with? Tales of Broadmoor high-jinx with the Yorkshire Ripper?)

Savile was a Knight of the Crown, a Knight of the Vatican, a (probable) necrophiliac, a pedophile, the buddy of serial killers and future kings, a children’s TV presenter, a pop mogul and many more things besides… has there ever been a stranger Englishman? It would appear that when Savile died his considerable protection died with him, and the establishment are happy for him to now suffer public and relentless vilification. But his activities, place and prominence in British society is so strange, so sinister, that it is a like a chink in the armor of the very establishment that’s allowing his corpse to fend for itself, and through this chink some pretty astonishing things can be glimpsed.

I'm a 46 year-old salesman with a family - I am Mr Average.

I am perfect system fodder. I should be unaware of, and uninterested in, these matters. I should be glad to have a comfortable lifestyle. I am much luckier than those poor starving families in Africa. I have a car and I can go where I please. I have a TV, stereo and carpets. I have good teeth and a paunch.

Then what the fuck am I doing reading RI?

I would take the blue pill in a heartbeat. Put me back where I was 15 years ago. Content. Ignorant. Stable.
No stress, anxiety, fear, trepidation and... exasperation. It's exasperation that has strangled me into the corner I write from.

There are billions of us trapped in this Matrix - some awake, but so many asleep. It has enveloped us in it's protective cloak, whispering soothing lullabies into our minds in the face of our night terrors. It is our friend. It's all we know. It can't be that wrong...can it?

The punchline: it's brilliance has unwittingly bought us to a place where even the blind will be forced to see.

It's going to highly unsettle the sleepyheads as they realise it. The current financial crisis is a manifestation in extremis.

Cameron and the other zealots can bury whatever they like. The floodgates are opening. Last week it was the Hillsborough Disaster, before that it was a Minister of her Majesty calling us 'plebs' - then calling the police liars, before that it was phone-tapping dead children and their parents. Next week will be something juicier. They are slipping through the net at an accelerating pace. There aren't enough hardcore zealots to fight all the fires.




Alas! If only there were somewhere here at RI, someone who articulates his astounding thoughts with such clarity, who could navigate us carefully through these interesting times we live in, on his blog.

Yup, that transcript is indeed from the Daily Mail ("PUBLISHED: 21:56 GMT, 11 October 2012 | UPDATED: 12:42 GMT, 12 October 2012"). The irony could be the subject of an entire separate thread.

Jimmy Savile was not just a charisma-free zone, he was a zone of concentrated anti-charisma. I never knew anyone who was more transparently phoney, in the exact sense that his public image was obviously deliberately constructed and obviously completely fake. He was nothing if not an Entertainer, and that's what made him so boring. In public at least he never said anything you wouldn't expect him to say, and practically everything he ever did say was crap (but so safely bland as to be unremarkable). And he was almost never not in public. As a person, at least in public, he barely existed.

He was like a child, but a damaged child, not least because he was one. I knew a few kids like that when I was at primary school; they had developed a few behavioural and vocal tics that just about got them through. They seemed like machines, for a whle. They were all surface, out of self-defence, and that made them deeply creepy. But I think very few of them, if any, actually got stuck at that level. (But what do I know, I don't keep up with them. They may well have become successful businessmen.)

I don't see any great mystery in the fact that Jimmy Savile was "adopted" by the likes of Thatcher and the royal family, and indeed by the bosses at the BBC. He was precisely the kind of robotically-cheerful, sexually-damaged Northern Cheeky Chappy* the Establishment has always been more than happy to embrace, patronise, rub up to and exploit. He never did them any harm, did he? On the contrary.

TV has an incredibly powerful and cultish effect on British culture, programs tend to be watched by everyone in a way that is not the same here in Australia,
i always put it down to the shitty weather, apart from the pub theres fuck all else to do

In Australia there have been some popular programs over the last two decades but none of them are ever sensations or come to dominate the culture to the point where it feels like literally everyone is involved

I went back to England in the early nineties and a program was on called 'Dont forget your toothbrush', it wasnt just popular, everyone watched,
at the point where people had to flash there house lights to win a free holiday you could see lights flashing as far as the eye could see, it was incredible and a bit weird

that is all thrown in to try and explain that Jimmy scumfuck Saville wasnt just a TV star in England, he was a dominant figure in the youth culture and national culture,
in Australia there is no-one that comes anywhere near close

FOUR Top of the Pops staff who worked with shamed star Jimmy Savile have also been named as child abusers, The Sun can reveal.
The men, one a cameraman, were alleged to be involved in the paedophile scandal by callers to a leading abuse victims’ charity.

The National Association for People Abused in Childhood has received a staggering 2,000 calls offering information since details of Savile’s decades preying on youngsters began to emerge.

Acting operations manager Jon Bird said witnesses claimed Savile had an “inner-circle” — some working on Top of the Pops, the long-running BBC show that helped make him a household name.

He went on: “All the evidence we are hearing points that way.

“One woman, who used to be a dancer, says there were at least three members of backstage staff at Top of the Pops who used to take young girls to parties, where horrific and inappropriate things took place.

“We also heard an allegation about one of the cameramen.”

Jon said no famous names connected with the show were mentioned and none of the men concerned were presenters.

He revealed that 25 calls to the charity directly referred to Savile. At least one related to Leeds Royal Infirmary, a hospital where Savile worked as a volunteer porter.

Jon said: “There’s a doctor mentioned who was closely working with Savile. Both knew what each other was doing.”

Broadmoor may soon be recruiting a witch to preach to its pagan-minded inmates, following a spiritual needs survey.

The top-security mental hospital in Berkshire houses Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe and "London Nail Bomber" David Copeland, and was for many years the home of Charles Bronson, often referred to as "the most violent prisoner in Britain".

Through recruiting a witch, the hospital hopes to respond to inmates' requests for a more "pagan input."

Paganism is a diverse religion but hanging a horseshoe over the door or throwing salt over the shoulder is one example of a popular pagan ritual, whilst Wicca or witchcraft followers worship many deities including the horned god.

There are already Christian, Muslim and Jewish clerics at the hospital, while a Hindu priest will be available to inmates soon. A Rastafarian leader is also being looked into following the "audit of spiritual needs".

Followers believe that cannabis can induce a spiritualistic state in the smoker, despite some studies suggesting the drug has a negative effect on mental health.

A Broadmoor spokesman said:

"We seek to support our patients in continuing their worship and sustaining their faith, whatever their denomination."

"While not a formal part of treatment plans, spirituality and religious worship are an important element in supporting recovery from mental health problems."

The Jim'll Fix It star is pictured in the grounds of Haut de la Garenne, posing comfortably on the grass with about 30 children of a variety of ages.

The Jersey home came under intense scrutiny in 2008 after police took statements from 192 alleged victims of historic child abuse at the home.
