Two explosions at Boston marathon finish line

Regarding the Sunil Tripathi similarities.... Am I the only one getting weird "Nick Berg" vibes.

I'm getting Sirhan Sirhan vibe from him. How crazy would it be, normal young man goes missing and month later is caught on video bombing the Boston Marathon? Some Manchurian business going on there.

Great point about Sirhan Sirhan. I was thinking Nick Berg because of an eventual link between seemingly unrelated news stories. I doubt it's Sunil, though, because the FBI investigated in disappearance. Would they no be able to link two of their cases together when it took the Internet all of about 4 hours to do that? Of course, maybe the pictures just aren't clear enough to identify him so they are throwing it out there just to see what happens, even though they might suspect it is Sunil (which I still think is far fetched, even if the photos look similar).

I think they're throwing as much shit out there as they can to get everyone scrambling. There's a new clue every five minutes! It's Blue's Clues on steroids. Having said that, maybe they're activating the sleepers and this is just the beginning.

Bingo. We hear of single lone plots, like Jared Loughner. But rarely is there terror plots by two men. Even in Oklahoma city it's admitted there was that Michael Fortier who was told by Mcveigh details of the plot.

An op like this they would ideally have spotters, even from afar. My gut told me on day one it was just two bombs despite speculation over unexploded devices.

The same Nick Berg who'd been held by American forces for several days (denied many times over and then half-confirmed) before being released and beheaded. The SAME Nick Berg who's email address was actually used by Zacarias Moussaoui in relation to the 9/11 attacks! Somehow this innocent Nick Berg is connected to everybody.

Now Sunil? Just strange.

The same Nick Berg whose emails were used on a laptop containing software given to Moussaoui by the soon to be ill fated Paul Wellstone crash co-pilot. A laptop used in a University apartment shared by Hussein al Altas
and Mujahid Menepta AKA Melvin Lattimore(tied to WTC 1993 and OKC 1995) The same Moussoui seen with Mohammed Atta at the Dreamland Motel, made famous by Mcveigh(where Mujahid Menepta was also at in 1995)

It's very possible that they just waited 12 seconds... enjoying the scene, as sick as that is. Or they were hoping to catch a wave of people in the second blast as they ran away from the first one. A dozen small bangs is more terrifying than a single bang from multiple sources.. I don't know, just pondering.

That sounds right, but really there are too many possibilities. It'll take much more holographic surveillance analysis than has been accomplished thus far, from far more video sources than have been released and correlated thus far, to narrow down the actors' actions between and following the detonations. So, not a tree to bark up just yet, I don't think. As trees go in this case.

Future headline: Boston trips over itself to throw down the cash for a shiny new Microsoft-IBM-DHS panopticon like the boys in NYPD just got. With drones.

Roger that. I tell people this stuff around a dinner table sometimes and instantly kill all polite conversation. People are all WTF? For Realz? and then try to swallow it down with the next forkful of food :p

Thank you very much. Like I said, I've lurked here for probably 6 years or so. Around that time I had my first child with my wife and forcefully had to pull my head out of the rabbit hole to focus on, you know, life as its supposed to be. I've never strayed far. I hadnt, tho Chris Matthews said to him they looked like foreign guys new to Boston who were overdressed and wearing to many coats. Speculation that the FBI is scouring any store that recently sold a Bridgestone golfing cap.

I went from worrying this was the work of domestic neo Nazi/right wing groups to worrying they may say this is tied to foreign networks...particularly if it's related to a country the West is interested in "liberating".

Lets not forget the FBI says they have live video of these guys dropping their packs and more importantly they said THAT ONE OF THEM WAS ON A CELL PHONE, so this could indicate they were talking to someone else, handler, mentor, leader, other cell bombers, team members etc?

Pakistanis seeking revenge for the killing of Bin Lade and the violation of their airspace when we killed him. I just saw the HBO documentary series, VICE, last weekend about the deepening division inside Pakistan between the army old guard and the infiltrating radicals. Of course, India will be our primary partner in this next military adventure. Hell, they'll probably front the ground troops if we handle the cruise missiles and the air support.

Just susposition, and hopefully very far off the mark.

Yea I think we can assume he wasnt calling home to see what was for dinner, according to the FBI he dropped the pack and was on the phone immediately after
