I didn't report the thread until you called me "lover", when I was filled with such a level of revulsion that my hand hit the report button of its own volition. Pure reflex.

Nothing has been placed in the "Fire Pit" since May 19, 2012.

Maybe this thread will provide an early celebration this year.

and it worked really well, didn't it. Jeff came to your rescue in minutes, if not seconds.

I had thought he rescued you, myself, from making further a fool of yourself.

I like alerting the mods. They haven't been around here enough of late, obviously.

C_w wrote:A system of justice or even of good board moderation must be that the rules are applied equally to all. If I'm being trolled and insulted and lied about then I would for that person doing the trolling to be sanctioned just as many others of us have been. This is a repeated pattern from the same one person (who has always got a little dirt cloud of flea supporters who change up from months to months) since the time I was made a mod. Since then it has been a systematic trolling and belittling of me - from a gang of people here on RI

No, What happens is:

First you attack barracuda by launching all kinds of unsupported, largely fabricated accusations of evil-doing at him..
Then you attack him for defending himself by doing the same thing again..
Then you repeat the whole process with anyone who tries to intervene on the side of right.
Then months pass, during which the whole thing escalates slowly.
And eventually you end up creating enough of a self-sustaining and tangled little alternative world of non-existent threats and offenses that when other people, such as Mac, wander into it, they don't always get out, which hurts both them and others.
_____________

All barracuda did was edit his posts for ordinary reasons. The edits didn't happen to be time-stamped. That caused some mild confusion. But now it's been explained. And the glitch that led to it has been corrected. So if there are no examples or instances of anyone having been harmed by that process -- and you haven't cited any -- .the non-problem has now been solved.

Or the one you're complaining about has been, anyway.

BTW -- That edit mark on my last post unaccompanied by a marked edit of any kind is because I hit edit and submit without making any changes.

I was going to add that barracuda did get nasty in response to nastiness, as do others, including me. But I decided it was covered by "defend himself."

Enough.

I'm declaring this thread off limits until Jeff responds.

No more posts.

This thread serves no useful purpose. Jeff can post to a locked topic if need be.
